Christmas Tree

Did you know that it's 19 weeks and 4 days more before Christmas? In the US, Christmas is not around yet but, in the Philippines, the countdown has started. The mall already display the Christmas decors and Christmas trees. You can hear Christmas songs on the airwaves already. Here in the US, we still have Halloween and Thanksgiving celebrations. Then, Christmas season will come flashing by and before you know it, it will be over.
I took these pictures of giant Christmas Tree last year at Lim Ket Kai Mall in the Philippines. It was a grand Christmas Tree!

Me and my Valentine

Every day, hubby and I just go wherever we waanted to go. Simply no plans at all. After we checked our mails, we decided to have a buffet at Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar at Cocoa Area.We drove less than an hour to reach this place. The view in this area is fantastic and right on this area, you will see the cruise ships leaving to their distination such as Bahamas and Carribbean.

This is banana river, such an awesome place to go fishing and sunbathing. Oh! If you have a yacht? This is the best place to have your baby floating as the sun gleaming with so much joy!

Here is the Norwegian Cruise Line at Port Canaveral in Florida. Kennedy Space Center is just few miles away that is if you want to visit NASA.

So, we were here earlier today and had our Valentine lunch date. I was full and tired as we head back home. Happy Valentines Day Everyone!

Memorable Christmas

I have an exciting and fun experience last Christmas. We have the traditional Christmas family party which took place in the home of my niece and we hand over gifts to everybody. I love giving gifts even though I got the least in return but, I am happy. The only missing in all my gifts is the touch of words of Christmas cards. With all the rush that I have been through during holiday, I stop giving cards. Ironically, I received Christmas cards from my friends through the mail even though I never sent one t any of them. I was in great joy when I read the message of their cards. Three of my banks sent me Corporate Holiday Cards too. It was a simple greeting but so special and warm. Well, my employer gave us a gift card and provides us for almost a week of bountiful food in the break room. That was really a good gesture from the company who appreciate the hard work of employees. It was our supervisor who gave each one of us a holiday card. That was a nice gesture also. Back home, I enjoyed watching my family opened their gift checks with delight in their eyes.

Cute Little Friend

Christmas is a time of joy, expressing love and care, and sending well wishes to someone who has touched our lives. I am so grateful that there are people who made me feel special like Shana, Kevin and Emilia. I met this family in Orlando, I mentioned about it in THIS POST. Anyway, here are the pictures of Emilia a year ago. Do you think she really posing? Nope! That is why, I snap a picture right away and here's what I got.
See how she smile at the camera? I just set it for 10 seconds delay and look at her. She is adorable, smart and funny.
Emilia in her playful mood. Yesterday, I received a card from them with her latest picture. It was really nice of them to remember me and wish me well.
I wish this family all the best in the world. I am so grateful that I met this family and for giving me courage to follow what my heart desires.

Fall Festival

Living in Mississippi is really different in Orlando. The traffic here is not bad at all and easy lifestyle is common in this place. When we drove on the beach area, we saw family were fishing; friends have fun time walking on the bridge, gatherings are always family oriented. Just like when they have a Fall Festival in Saint Alphonsus School in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
On this day, they have two big events happening in the city. We made plans to see the display and we passed by the school first. I wanted to try this but as you can see, the line was long with kids hehehe. Shame on me to even think of trying, LOL!
An elementary grade pupil climbing to the top.
The parents here are very supportive to their children. School activities are priorities for the parents...well, as far as those parents that I knew.
The school had so much games and display for both parents and the children.
These were the decorations that they had all over the school campus. I think it was per classroom because it was all over the place.
I was just wondering how many kids missed these kind of events in their lives because they have irresponsible parents. Hmmm!

What a Tiring Day

I was so tired for the whole day doing household chores plus doing my loads of laundry, ( LOL ) just to set the place right for the party later. All the siblings will be coming over for thanksgiving party and I am in-charge of making our place neat. My husband will do all the kitchen stuffs. One brother-in-law can not be here with us because, he lives in Missouri but, we always call him anyway. I will of course show you the preparation as it unfolds. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
