Delta IV Rocket Launch

I was not feeling well last Friday so; hubby and I decided to watch the #DeltaIV rocket launch on TV and at the front yard. Yes, we can see it at the front yard as it lifts off to the sky at night time, it's clear. The launch was delayed in fact; it lifts off at the last few minutes window. It lifts off at 8:59 PM on Feb 20, 2014 here in the Space Coast.

Our House Was Sold

Here are some photos of the house we have listed in the Real Estate market about two weeks ago. For the first four days, we have two offers. Since the offers were good, we accepted the highest and in one week, we sold the house. We have a schedule to close the house on the 2nd week of March. The lucky owner of this house will be happy to know that NASA's Kennedy Space Center is just 13 minutes away. We forgot to include that info in the listing. Anyway, it's sold and we will be going back to the gulf coast area.

We are praying that everything will be alright and we can move as soon as possible. Oh, and we have to buy a new house too. This will be hard for us. Packing-up and waiting for the closing are stressful but then, that's all we can do right now. After the closing, we can then find a new house. Stressful don't you think?

Why Businesses Should Open an Account with a Limousine Company

Limousine transportation is receiving a lot of global recognition. It is used to drive participants to conferences, pick up executives at the airport, and show potential investors the city. Companies like Premier Limousine Inc. specialize in corporate accounts. They serve all customers, no matter if they are just starting out or are dominating their industry. Do you doubt if this is a service you really need? The following blog will clarify a few issues.

Available 24/7

It does not leave a good impression when clients or associates are stranded at the airport late at night because nobody at your company is available to pick them up. Sure, they can call a taxi, but that would not exactly show them how well-organized you are. If you cannot even plan a simple pickup, what does that say about your company? Limousine service providers have drivers available 24 hours a day. Schedule service over the phone or book a reservation online.

Reliable Drivers

Asking an employee to drive important guests around should only be in emergency situations. Otherwise, depend on courteous, experienced drivers who will not be tempted to go hang out at a bar with potential partners or investors. Trained chauffeurs behave in a professional manner. They do not drink on the job, and know the streets of Chicago by heart. Nobody will get lost.

Clean and Comfortable Vehicles

Limousines used for business purposes are washed and cleaned regularly. They emphasize comfort. These luxury vehicles are inspected often and maintained meticulously. Corporate transportation service providers cannot mess up if they want to stay one step ahead of their competitors. They want to ensure that customers are pleased, and provide many glowing reviews and recommendations.

Easy Billing

Customers with an account receive bills regularly. Every service is listed, which makes it easy to compare the information with what you have on your books. Discrepancies are investigated thoroughly. Corporate billing systems include monthly statements and uncomplicated balance resolution. In other words, if one of your employees took an unauthorized joy ride, you will know about it.

Discounted Rates

Ventures like Premier Limousine Inc. offer discounted rates for high-volume accounts. That makes the price more cost-effective than if you were using ordinary transportation solutions. Request quotes from several contenders with an extensive fleet of vehicles before deciding which one is fit for your company’s needs.

Kennedy Space Center : VAB Tour Ends Feb 23, 2014

I know right? The Vehicle Assembly Building or VAB will close its doors to the public soon. Feb 23, 2014 is actually a date extended to give enough time for visitors to see up-close where vehicles were assembled for launch.

The Kennedy Space Center is having a “KSC Up-Close Vehicle Assembly Building Tour” and “KSC Up-Close Mega Tour” which will be offered to the public up to Feb 23. These tours are worth for the money because one will surely enjoy the behind-the-scenes and once-in-a-lifetime experience.

NASA is preparing the VAB for the new SLS launch systems for 2017. Isn’t the news awesome? That means, Titusville and all other areas in the Space Coast will be alive again. I mean, the businesses will soon back on its happy days once again. You should know that at present, there are so many establishments in Titusville went downhill in fact, many closed its doors to their clients and customers. When NASA's Space Shuttle Program ends in 2011, thousands of the employees lost their job. You know what that means right? Domino effect.

Anyway, did you know that the Vehicle Assembly Building is the largest single-story building in the world? Yep, they assemble the gigantic shuttle in this building that's why.

See the American flag on the building? That was the largest in the world when added in 1976. I took these photos when we were on tour. The driver/tour guide was explaining the length and how wide is that flag.

I have been here for so many times but, I can't find the pictures I took of the inside. It is time to take the tour once again before it ends. Oh my goodness, that will be in less than 2 weeks. I should buy my ticket this week. Pictures? I will be posting them here soon. Watch out for it. Thanks for stopping by.

Five Signs You Are Ready for Alcohol Rehab

Admitting that you have a drinking problem is the first step toward recovery. The next one will be to seek fitting treatment, such as a PBI alcohol rehab program. Professional help can make the process of sobering up and returning to a normal lifestyle much easier. Are you wondering if you are ready to quit your destructive drinking habits? Here are 5 signs that you are no longer struggling with the decision to sober up.

1. Completing Research

Have you been talking to friends and family about alcoholism? Did you spend a lot of time on the Internet lately researching this topic? Have you asked your doctor about treatment options to fight excessive drinking? Your curiosity shows that you are no longer happy being alcohol-dependent.

2. Admitting Alcohol Abuse

It is not easy to admit that your drinking obsession is out of control. However, it is necessary. If you cannot acknowledge that you have a problem, the recovery will only be temporary. Soon, you will be visiting the liquor store again. Share your thoughts with loved ones. You need their support throughout the treatment and recovery period.

3. Stop Worrying

Addicts are often overcome by fear and shame. They are afraid of being humiliated and verbally abused when revealing their struggles with alcohol. Others are too proud. Alcoholics who want their lives back put their pride aside. They realize that getting better is more important than their personal feelings.

4. Hitting Rock Bottom

Alcohol can make people do the stupidest things. Everyone has seen photos on the Internet of the embarrassing things intoxicated men and women do. These images are not the only evidence of the devastating effects alcohol has on the human mind and body. Men and women have died because of the daring challenges they accepted during one of their drinking bouts. Countless people ended up disabled or dead. That usually sobers up some of the surviving drinking buddies.

5. Medical Problems

Excessive alcohol consumption can cause medical problems. Aside from messing with the brain’s communication pathways and impairing a person’s physical abilities, alcohol can cause a body to decay more rapidly. The list of medical conditions due to alcohol abuse includes the following:

• High blood pressure
• Arrhythmia
• Stroke
• Cirrhosis of the liver
• Alcoholic hepatitis
• Weakened immune system

It is really easy to get your life back on track. Alcoholism can be treated like other diseases. Talk to your doctor about treatment solutions, which may include a tailored PBI alcohol rehab program. You will feel much better soon.

Apollo/Saturn V Center Viewing Area

The Apollo/Saturn V Center in Kennedy Space Center here in Florida is one of my most favorite spot to visit while visiting #KSC. The huge Saturn V Rocket is there on display, the shopping store has lots of souvenirs, the viewing of space fashion is interesting, touching the moon rock is possible, and many more. When the Canaveral Air Station scheduled a rocket launch, the viewing area in the Apollo/Saturn V Center is truly the best place to watch it. Seeing the flames at the bottom of the rocket as the 10 seconds countdown starts is truly amazing!
I am using my Zoom in to focus the pad.
We came late so; hubby and I were looking for the best spot with no trees. As you can see, this area has lots of it. We move towards the right side and stayed there.
Some of the folks who came a little late to occupy the viewing deck has to stay here. This is still a good spot.
This is one of the viewing areas and when guests come early, they can take a space. From here, on farther right, there are few more viewing apace intended for dignitaries such as politicians, family of the astronauts and press people as well. Hubby said that I should get a press pass as a blogger. I am chicken. There was one person who contacted me once before but, I did not reply. Oh yeah, I am chicken alright.

Anyway, that's all for now friends. Thanks for always stopping by. I am too busy this month. We are moving back to gulf coast. I will truly miss this place and the Kennedy Space Center which is just 10 minutes from home. Lucky me huh? Have a great day!

Living the Successful College Life: Juggling Your Schedule

If you haven’t snagged a scholarship (tip: it may not be too late! Keep looking!), you don’t want to get into serious debt before you graduate by taking out loans. Unless you have parents or rich uncles with the income to pay your college tuition, you may find it necessary to work while you attend school. Figuring out a good schedule that allows you time for a job, study, sleep, and recreation can be tricky, but it’s not impossible to do. Having a job while attending school can be a drag, but try to think of it as a lesson in responsibility and growing up. If you’re lucky enough to live in LA Tech housing or other campus housing that provides furnished living spaces and easy-to-access social and exercise areas, the task becomes easier. Here are some steps to take to prevent yourself from burning out even with a packed schedule.

Determining Your Priorities

It’s time to be a grown-up, which, though it isn’t always as fun as the more carefree life of childhood or adolescence, is a good time to develop positive habits that will benefit you the rest of your life. Besides, being responsible doesn’t mean nothing is fun anymore. Determining your priorities for your scheduling also helps you avoid a lot of stress that develops from procrastination, worry about the future, and money issues. Reducing stress helps you feel free and productive. Sit down when you have some quiet time to think and ask yourself what is most important for you to be doing right now. As a college student, you are likely working toward a degree that will increase your chances of enjoying your career as well as being able to earn enough money to support yourself and a future family. If working at a job is a necessary component, this is also a priority. Adequate sleep will help you have the energy to meet your commitments. This might mean your social life suffers a bit, and you won’t be able to attend quite as many all-night parties as you’d like; but if you’re going to college merely to party, you might want to re-think the whole college thing for the time being. While you prioritize, realize that if any one area is taking up so much time that you’ll never get a chance for doing something you like (recreation), you’ll probably burn out. Adjust your priorities and schedule accordingly. Maybe take fewer credits or apply for some grants.

Plan Your Schedule on Paper

Once you know where your priorities lie, work out your schedule on paper or on some electronic calendaring system. If you are naturally drawn to having a structured schedule, this step will be easy and enjoyable. If you like things more flexible, a bare-bones schedule will do as long as you firmly include your top priorities. Depending on how necessary your job is for your financial well-being, you will also need to work your classes and other activities around working hours. Perhaps you can work early-morning hours, finishing your work day before classes start so you don’t have daytime conflicts. Or nail down a job before registering for classes so you know exactly what class times are best for you. Assign yourself some time during the day or week to study or complete homework. What time is left over is yours to do with as you please.

Finding the Fun in Adulthood

Being responsible for yourself while living in LA Tech housing doesn’t mean all the fun is over. Part of the joy in life is having new experiences, making new friends, and meeting challenges head-on. If there isn’t something to look forward to, your life will become dull and boring. Even adults are allowed to enjoy life. Parents, responsible relatives, student advisors, and mentors can help you find a good balance that works for you as you put together your student schedule.
