Walking on the Bay Bridge : Biloxi and Ocean Springs

I don't know how to start really. When we sold the house in the Space Coast area in Florida, we were too busy packing, moving, follow up with the papers, moving to another state, looking for a house, buying a house, moving our things from one storage to another storage, moving to our new house, unpacking, arranging, selling one of our condo property, fly back to Florida, back to Mississippi, party for my birthday, surprise visit from Spain and now ... here I am, ready to get back on track. Wheww! It was a whirlwind huh? I took a lot of pictures since May and I will be sharing them in this blog.

The first time we drove on the Bay Bridge heading to Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi, I said to my husband, "I didn't know how I missed the gulf coast". How pretty this place is. That's the resort and we stayed there for a week since we were still waiting for the closing of the house we bought.

The photo above was taken at the Front Beach in Ocean Springs Mississippi. The building at the far end is the Golden Nugget Casino formerly, the Isle Casino. Since we were back here in May, I walked on the bridge and rode a bicycle on that long bay bridge. Oh my goodness, I did it! I was so happy and felt accomplished! Now, who wouldn't fell in love on this view everyday of their lives? I would!

One evening right before sunset, a cousin and I went to walk by the beach and on the bridge from Ocean Springs to Biloxi (one city to the other city). We started at 6PM and hubby picked us up at 8PM in Golden Nugget at the end of the bridge. I thought I couldn't do it you know. It was a long ways. The view from the bay bridge was fantastic and breathtaking so; it has kept me going to the end. There were sailboats and shrimp boats as well as occasional display of dolphins swimming visibly by the bay. It was a glorious evening and I will be walking/running on the bridge again sometime.

While walking on the beach, cousin and I played on the sand. We put a mark on the sand with our foot. My footprint is smaller than her even though I am so much older than her. We spent probably almost an hour by the beach before we decided to walk on the bridge.

While on the Front Beach, I snap a lot of pictures.

Pictures of the sky, sailboats, people, dogs, shrimp boats, and anything interesting on the sand.

Here she is making a heart shape figure.

As the sun sets on the horizon, we were halfway walking on the bridge. It was breezy and a nice evening. I had fun taking pictures and enjoying the glorious display of nature.
Thanks for reading my post. See you next time.

The Gorgeous Florida #Sunset

I love taking photos of sunset. I am using my Samsung camera in taking these gorgeous photos. I am always seated on the passenger's seat so; I am free to take a snapshot. Yes, we are on mobile at 60mph so; I am pretty much contented with these photos.

This was taken along State Road 407 as we were heading to Orlando from Cocoa Florida.

The weather was so nice, cool and breezy.

On a bad weather, this road will be battered with heavy rains and hail.

The winter time here in Florida is truly remarkable! We still have 85 degrees sometimes but, mostly it's below 75 with cooler temperature.

If you plan to escape the cold temperature up north, come to Florida and enjoy a nice swim at the Florida Beach. I hope you will have an inspiring weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Merry Christmas.

Such a Beautiful Sunset

We were so busy last week going to Orlando and back in Cocoa Beach. I think in one day, we drove three times. We were in Orlando because the renter of our condo moved to Oklahoma. Our condo was vacant for 3 days and we did the cleaning. Thank God that we were able to rent it in 3 days. The renter is a single mom with three kids. We hope and pray that this family is a good tenant. We allow them to rent without a background check but, the HA in our condo will do that. It will take two weeks plus there's a holiday coming so; we were just praying that we have a good tenant. It will be too late if the background check will come out unfavorable.

On our last trip to Orlando, it was already 6 PM and the horizon was so pretty. I took series of photos as we drove the 407. The sun was incredibly huge glimmering with golden orange color. It was such a beautiful sunset.

We planned to visit Disney but, because of the late notice by our tenant, we cancelled it ...again... for the nth times. Oh well, we will this week and we will be heading to a less crowded theme park. I will just take photos of the Christmas Decors of each theme park.

Anyway, are these photos beautiful or what? While other states in the US are freezing cold, ours here in the Space Coast of Florida is on the 70's. Crazy huh? I heard the news today that we will reach 84 in the afternoon. I don't like that! 50's and 60's are ideal temp for me. Bring on the wintry chill in Florida dear weather. Enjoy your week everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Have a Wonderful Thursday

What a lovely day! This is an old photo that I took in one of our road trips back and forth from Florida to Mississippi. I was on the passenger's seat so; I got all the time to take pictures. I remember that during this time, I used my blackberry phone and an ordinary Kodak camera in taking photos. This picture is not the best but, you can tell that nature speaks beauty. As the sun goes down on the horizon, it somehow gives me that calming feeling that everything will be alright. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone.

Sunrise in Port Saint John Florida

Such a beautiful and inspiring morning! I took these photos in Port Saint John along the boat ramp near Nicols Park. It's always gorgeous here especially at the break of dawn. The body of water is Indian River and yap, warning signs say "beware of gators". Never heard anyone attacked by gators though. Across the waters is the Merritt Island where NASA's Kennedy Space Center is located.

We live about 5 minutes away from here.

I would love to wake up every morning with this gorgeous view. Can you think of any place in your neighborhood that you can watch the sunrise? Wake up early tomorrow and watch the sunrise for a change. Have a good Monday y'all.

Hot and Sunny Day

How's your day everyone? All excited for spring time? Here in Florida, spring is like summer time and if you stay outdoor, you'll end up sweaty hot! Anyway, I took this picture a while ago. It is sunny today and the weather is very nice. Hubby and I went to Walmart for a quick grocery and went to Lowe's to price some appliances that we need in the new home. I am excited to live in Cocoa Area because I noticed that it is windy and more breezy there compared to Orlando. I should expect that after all, Cocoa Beach is just nearby. Thanks for stopping at my blog. Hope to see you again. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Isle of Biloxi Hotel: The Beautiful Sunrise

I remember the moment when I took these pictures. Hubby and I were staying in the Isle hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi. I was excited to see the sunrise so; I open up the balcony french door and just lay in bed, waiting for the rising sun. From the bed, the view was amazing and I was admiring the beauty of the bay. There are few Vietnamese shrimp boats sailin to go shrimping. There were birds flying and the morning was a bit foggy.I know I am seeing a calm sea but, I also wonder what's it like during Hurricane Camille and Katrina.Accross the water is Ocean Springs. Hubby and I always go there for fishing and crabbing. The houses nearby the beach are built in stilts. If you drive down the beach, you will see the remnants of Hurricane Katrina like a concrete stairs that survive.Hurricanes are scary but, it has always been my dream to have a house near the beach so I can enjoy this view every morning.

The Sunrise by the Gulf

This picture was taken from the balcony of our hotel room at the ISLE. The land mass is the beach line of Ocean Springs Mississippi. The sunrise is always beautiful here in Misissippi and I witness it everyday when I come home from work. I was working on a graveyard shift so, when I passed by the bridge heading to Ocean Springs, this sight is what I always love to see.

The Beautiful Sunset

The Gulf Coast is one of the best places to watch the sunset. I took this picture a week ago while we had our vacation in Mississippi. Oh! Cover your eyes because this sunset is still shining so brightly! We were checking in the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino when I saw this beautiful sunset at the garage of the hotel. Of course, I had to asked my husband to stop so I can take a snap of this view. Beautiful, isn't it?Hoping you like it. I am using my Kodak Digital Camera.

Beautiful Sunrise

I love watching the break of dawn! Yesterday, we had to pick up our neighbor for a ride to her workplace. They had an accident and their car had minor damage so, we have to help them. My hubby had this compassion to anyone who needs assistance without expecting in return. Even though the gas price is ridiculously up, we still offer to help!
I was at the passenger's seat the whole time. All I did was capture the sunrise. Did you know that it's my favorite time of the day? It gives me the feeling of serenity and the sight somehow brings promise that the day would turn out great.
Try it! Try waking up early and watch the sunrise at it glimmers to your face. You will have that Peace of mind thanking God for the fresh air you breathe and a new day, new life as a blessing. Have a blessed day everyone.

At Night in Ocean Springs

This picture was taken on our last night in Ocean Springs. The sky just turned so strikingly beautiful. We were in awe as we gazed up the sky! It was already sunset when I took this picture. Isn't it lovely?
We bought some groceries at Walmart and as we drove back to the house, this was the sky...just perfect! As I close my eyes right now, this view is so vivid in my memory and I can't help but, smile!

Sunset

One of the amazing moment that I love to capture is the sunset. Wherever we are in this planet, sunsets are truly a sight worth a thousand meaning. It gives us a promise that despite the imperfections of each day, there will be sunshine the next day. Sunsets gives us Peace and Serenity that by just admiring its beauty, all our troubles seemed light to carry. photo courtesy from Helen

Sunset At Gulf Coast

We have been traveling at US Highway 98 last year from Mississippi to Florida and I just took these pictures of the sunset at the Gulf Coast.
If you clicked the picture, it is blurry because we drove at 40 mph speed so, my camera has no feature to get a steady caption.
It was so beautiful but we at this point, we don't have time to stop because this beach seemed like isolated. We are the only car on this road and I don't like it because it is getting dark and we are only holding the map.
I like to travel on this road at day time because the beaches are beautiful. But, seemed creepy during night time because you will pass by the little towns and not one single soul on the road.
Anyway, we arrived in Orlando at 10 PM , almost a 12 hour drive from Mississippi. It takes longer because we have to stop from time to time.
