The Gorgeous Florida #Sunset

I love taking photos of sunset. I am using my Samsung camera in taking these gorgeous photos. I am always seated on the passenger's seat so; I am free to take a snapshot. Yes, we are on mobile at 60mph so; I am pretty much contented with these photos.

This was taken along State Road 407 as we were heading to Orlando from Cocoa Florida.

The weather was so nice, cool and breezy.

On a bad weather, this road will be battered with heavy rains and hail.

The winter time here in Florida is truly remarkable! We still have 85 degrees sometimes but, mostly it's below 75 with cooler temperature.

If you plan to escape the cold temperature up north, come to Florida and enjoy a nice swim at the Florida Beach. I hope you will have an inspiring weekend. Thanks for stopping by. Merry Christmas.

Weather Transition in an Hour

It was already dinner time. After traveling on a stormy weather from Orlando routing 528, hubby and I decided to drive towards Titusville. The rain had stopped! The sky is truly wonderful that time and as you can see in the photo below, the moon is showing up too.

Amazing how weather changes abruptly! There was no sign that few minutes ago, there was a hailstorm and the rain was blinding the commuters. Some drivers stopped on the side of the road. Check out the photo below, a happy bird is flying low in its easy glide.

There was a rainbow too. It was fading so fast but, I was able to take a shot.

Some areas in the Space Coast are still battling the storm at that time but in Titusville, storm had passed. Most people noticed the wonderful display of colors in the sky and I was not the only one who took pictures of the sky that time. In fact, I saw few friends posted photos on their Facebook wall.

I took the photo below before the storm. The dark clouds were heavy and lighting strikes every second. It was really scary especially for us that we were on the road.

The pouring rain is blinding us. I used the cellphone to see it clearer. There were hail falling on the windshield and it scared us the most. It seems that it was a long drive. Hubby was driving slow looking out the distance from the car ahead.

We really had no choice at that time but, keep on driving and watch out for other drivers. Some drivers have no regard for safety because they were driving so fast. Anyway, we arrived home safely. The sky is brighter and lovely. That's all that matters. Happy weekend everyone.

On A Stormy Day

The weather in Florida changes every minute. It is very unpredictable even on a clear day and it will change to a cloudy day before you know it.Here are some of the pictures that I took on different location in different days.It is very scary when you have a dark skies like this. We usually listen to the radio to know if there are storms or tornado nearby.Did you know that when we have storms, we have so many lightnings that endangers our national forest? There are so many incidents here that forest fires started because of the lightning.
As long as we are at home during stormy days, we are safe. But, there are times that the storms started when we are having road trips.
That is a hassle so; what we do is stop on a gas station and let the storm pass by first. Even on a stormy day, the cloud formation is still interesting huh?

Dreaming of Cool Weather

I dreamed of the cool weather especially the months of January. I can deal with 50's and 60's where I can wear my boots and cuddle up with my two layers of sweaters. We have no snow in Orlando so, my version of cool weather truly is a cool one!Back in where I lived in Mississippi, we have at least 37 degrees and it just enough to have a frozen lake. It was an amazing sight, a breathe of fresh air, and the kind of moment where everybody just look forward for mardi gras . This is our broken bird bathe, just laying at the back of the house. The rain water is frozen solid like a crystal! I can't stay long at this area because gnats are truly bad at this time of the year. They would start attacking me and eat me alive, LOL. But, I love to stay at the screened back porch, I still can smell the fresh green grass and the freshness of the morning. I can only sigh for now.

Ice in the Bird Bath

The past days, we were experiencing a sudden period of cold weather, not just cold but, below freezing temperature. Outside, I stepped in the bird bath just to convince myself that the water here is not liquid anymore. Kidding! This picture is for the purpose of picture taking only. I love cold weather but not freezing weather like this.

Icycles From Orange Tree

The weather here in Mississippi is below freezing but no snow yet. There is a possibility though. Because of the cold snap, there was one casualty in our area already. Cold Weather is dangerous specially to those people who live in old homes with no heater. An old man was found dead in his home suffering from hypothermia. This Cold Weather brings danger to humans, vegetation, fruit crops and animals. The picture below was taken in Plant City, Florida shows an orange with hanging icicles.

Pretty ironic that the weather in the Sunshine State will turn like this. Anyway, the farmers spray a fine mist of water to cover and protect oranges.
