My Interest of Maps

I like to look at the map and learn it's history. You know those stories about the travel of Marco Polo, the charm history of Colosseum in Rome, the mystery of the boulders of the Stonehenge and many more. When I was in College, I have an Atheist Professor for World History and I was fascinated with his stories. His name is Professor Burton and I also like his wife, my Professor in Sociology subject. Anyway, their stories were fading into my memory therefore, I need to refresh my knowledge about it.Now, I need to refresh my knowledge about this map. I will start at the East Coast. I need to ignite my interest of becoming a bookworm once again.

Life is Good

How's your day everyone? Mine is great! We went to the grocery today, a breathe of fresh air after doing 15 paid tasks yesterday. I was so exhausted because I just need a personal post in between a paid task so, I end up writing 30 posts in less than 24 hours. Life is good indeed! Thanks to all the sponsors and for trusting me with your ads. I need to take a good night sleep now and dreaming that I can buy a Hummer in few months. LOL!

Random Thoughts : July 2011

My birthday month is over and here we are, welcoming August! A lot happened for July right? The NOT GUILTY verdict of the mom of Caylee Anthony; the end of Shuttle Program of NASA in Kennedy Space Center; higher rate of JOBLESS in the United States; Real Estate continued downhill (good for buyers); the massacre/bombings in Oslo Norway killing almost 70 people - national mourning; death of Amy Winehouse; debate on debt ceiling agreement in Politics and so on and so forth. Such an endless battle of what? The world needs PEACE and HARMONY! Let us all UNITE for the common good to make this world a better place to live for the generation to come.

Laughing Out Loud

I just can't control myself from laughing like this! DA! DA! DA! DA!DAAAA! It is so aggravating that people out there wants to make money by leaving a comment with links embedded. The comments are not related to the topic anyway! By commenting that way, it is very obvious that they just want to post a comment to Websites with higher PR ranks! Come on people, where's your pride? Earning few cents that way is truly a low class!Make your own Website, work with it and be passionate about it. Then, you will have your own Site to posts all your crappy links and you can earn few dollars! I will not publish your spam comments anyway so, why do you have to keep trying? LOL!

Message Board

I have been so patient for so many months regarding visitors who leave messages on my message board called cbox. There were so many spammers who leave a comment but OUT OF TOPIC linking the website that they promote. FREE add on my blog is a NO NO! If your company will be reviewed, it's because I truly appreciate it. You can't just post a link in my message board for FREE because that is spamming! Leave a comment in any of my posts, I will publish it if it's not a spam!

We Need to go to Florida

We need to go to Florida today because we found a good deal apartment and is available for rent soon. We started our road trip after lunch and it's late but, we are doing okay. After 7 hours travel we still in the middle of Talahasse. I did not sleep for more than 24 hours now because while on the road, I blogged, tweeted and Face booking. Oh, we pass by an area where cellphones are totally dead and on the I-10, weather is so bad. Instead of using GPS, we use the map and I am loving it. We expect to arrive past midnight. Its raining bad right now.

Sunset

One of the amazing moment that I love to capture is the sunset. Wherever we are in this planet, sunsets are truly a sight worth a thousand meaning. It gives us a promise that despite the imperfections of each day, there will be sunshine the next day. Sunsets gives us Peace and Serenity that by just admiring its beauty, all our troubles seemed light to carry. photo courtesy from Helen

Post It

Are you a systematic person? When I was in high school, I set my schedule from the time I woke up and ends with sleeping time. I see to it that my books and notebooks are arranged in my school bag and I have a schedule when to study each subject. I used 3M Post-it Notes and planner in my scheduling. Looking back, I like the set up that I have had when I was in high school. Having a goal for the day eventually helped me realized one objective at a time. I set up a time for studying and a time for meeting my friends. I make sure that my schedule is balance and not focused on studies but, also in co-curricular activities too. Planning is really essential to our lives. We can accomplish things in life if we set up our goal one day at a time. If we have the objective for the day, we can accomplish it if we do it. During those days, it is easy for me to finish my task by aiming what needs to be done. Planning and accomplishing should go together which is a recipe for success. I graduated with honors in my class and had the good grades which were my passport to a university.

Reminiscing

We will be going back to Orlando next month to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We will be staying in this area...uhmmm...actually, it is our friend's place. When we lived in Florida, we frequent this place. We used to have our breakfast and snacking here. We also watched people boating and fishing around. Can't wait to spend few days in this place.

Posed a Pic

This was taken a year ago in Orlando while we visited our friends in the airport. My husband worked there and so, I went there frequently too. PT Cruiser is my fave car at that time and so, I just took a short posed from one of the cars in the garage. Yes, this is not mine. Anyway, next month we will visit Orlando and see our friends there once again. Can't help but get excited to it.

Future Plan

As of this moment, my husband and I decided to go back to Orlando for good. That will be our future plan after living here in Mississippi. All our friends are there and all his contacts for his business are all in that place. Our friends are happy hearing this good news and we are too of course. Right now, I am trying to research on how to apply a day care business in Orlando. I need to get all the necessary preparation before pushing the final plan. As of now, we are swimming on the routine flow of our schedules and let the hands of God direct our lives according to His will.

So Ironic

Sometimes, it is so ironic to comprehend how bad the problem of the world hunger if your pantry looks like the pictures below.
I know someone who had a pantry measuring 25 sq meters and they were only three in the household. Their caretaker said that some of the foods inside the pantry were already expired. To avoid that, why not take a day off and get rid of those canned goods which you do not need. Then, make a habit of checking every three months and the old stocks but not expired, give it away. Others need it more than you do.
I know we work so hard to buy the foods that we want. But, let us make a step of change in our lives. Let us start buying the things that we NEED instead. Let us learn to share too. Try taking a bag of stocks from your pantry that you do not need and drive in the city. I am sure you will see a homeless person on the street begging for pennies. Just give it to him and go. Do not communicate with him. Just hand the bag, smile and go. For that hungry person, you are an answered prayer and you are an angel.
If you do this, you will feel the change in you. Imagine if thousand do the same act of goodness to others everyday? Thousands will not get hungry in a day and it will drive them to have a positive outlook of life.
Remember to learn to share your blessings to others.
Show kindness even to strangers! The time is now!

Insurance is Important

I am so glad that I am already 3 months in my job with no absences or tardiness. It means that my 90 days probation is over and my full benefit as an employee will take effect immediately. I must admit that the company where I am working right now really takes care of the employee. At least I do not worry about Temporary Insurance or other things because the in-charge who takes care of the employee benefits did a good job always. Health insurance is very important to me and that is what keeping me from holding on to my job. Come to think of it, if you are sick without health insurance, you will be screwed! That is why I am so thankful for this company who gave me the opportunity to work with them. Having this job is a blessing really. I never thought that I can find a permanent position especially in the kind of economic situation that we have right now. I was so glad that God works in mysterious ways. When I took my interview, I do not even know what they are hiring for. But because of the full benefits that I am getting, I took the challenge. Here I am now, contented with all the insurance benefits that I have from them.

Time for Sleep

Working in the graveyard shift is really hard. I need to get 8 hours of sleep each day to keep me awake on my working hours from 11 PM up to 7:30 in the morning. At first, I feel like a zombie. I was doing my normal job and one of my co-worker said, "BOO!" and realized that I was asleep for seconds. That was really funny! Well, I was able to survive that nightmare and for three months now, I am well adjusted. We have no leather beds at home but sometimes, I took the comfort of taking a nap in the leather chair of my father-in-law because it is very comfortable. I am blessed with a thick hair and sometimes it feels so warm and sleeping in that chair kept my head cool. Anyway, it is time for my sleep now and I am a bit too lazy today thinking that it is "my Monday". I think everyone felt the same way, right? We are excited during weekends and during weekdays, we are lazy because we have deal the workloads over and over again. For whatever reasons, once we are at workplace, we wanted to get the work nicely done, right? Just enjoy your work and have a good sleep when you needed it.

Termites Gave Me Headache

After working for two years, I was able to buy a house and lot property located over looking our city. That was 10 years ago and this property is my prized possession. I made minor improvements in the house like building a division and added tile flooring on the whole floor area. My mother and my cousin live there for almost two years while I am living here in the US. Recently, mom has kept reminding me that the termites damage all the door jams. These tiny creatures can really eat the whole house if we just take it for granted. My mother did some remedy and apply some termite baits but, the colony was not destroyed. I am planning to make my property bigger next year so; I will have them cure the soil first. It is truly annoying to see few termites popping out from somewhere. There must be a colony nearby. I told them to maintain the application to terminate the termites. When I come home, I will have my major project done and the termites should be out of sight. Are you having problems with termites too? If you did, click the link provided here and good luck to both of us.

Excited for the Snow

Once in a blue moon, the Gulf Coast of Mississippi will experience a slight snow. I was excited today because according to the weather forecast, at 6:00 PM tonight, there will be changes of the weather. Actually, it is freezing cold right now as we went to Lowe's to buy some Christmas Paraphernalia. I was glad that I wore my boots because it would be a huge mistake if I did not. Anyway, as of this time, it is cloudy and we are expecting occasional showers this afternoon. The reading is 53F with Winds NNE at 5 to 10 mph and there is a 40% chance of rain. Tonight, there will be a steady rain and according to the forecast, there will be ice and snow too. The showers will continue overnight and the readings will go colder up to 37F with the Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain is 70% and the rainfall is expected to be around a quarter of an inch. Actually, though I am excited with winter, I am not feeling well today. It seems that I have a slight fever. When I got home, I had a chill already. I might call in sick tonight too.

What a Tiring Day

I was so tired for the whole day doing household chores plus doing my loads of laundry, ( LOL ) just to set the place right for the party later. All the siblings will be coming over for thanksgiving party and I am in-charge of making our place neat. My husband will do all the kitchen stuffs. One brother-in-law can not be here with us because, he lives in Missouri but, we always call him anyway. I will of course show you the preparation as it unfolds. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

Shopping and Dining

I told my husband that I would like to go shopping at Belk, Macy's and Sears today. We eventually did and my father-in-law went out with us too. He bought a new 4-in-1 phone and a thick Webster's dictionary because he can't find his dictionary at home. I was not able to finish shopping because, dad wanted us to have lunch in a Chinese Restaurant. Well, the employees were glad to see us because we are their frequent diners. They know where we want to be seated too, LOL. Anyway, I was so hungry and I ate a lot. I hope I will gain few pounds with that. Cross my finger, LOL.

Blast From the Past

I was in my FB account and saw this picture in Sigrid's account. She is one of my close friends back home and we communicate everyday.

Specially now that she finally have her own internet at home. The picture was taken four years ago and I wore dark pink sleeveless. I miss that blouse. I left that in the Phiippines. This picture was taken during the Wedding of Easter. I am still the same huh. How I wish I can pass 100 lbs but, I am still trying. It is really good to see the faces of my friends back home.
