Fort Maurepas Park

Ocean Springs, Mississippi is a small place compared to the city where I grew up. According to wikipedia, this place has a total area of 39.5 km2 way smaller than Cagayan de Oro City which has 488.86 km2 total land area. I miss my city but, this place is like a second home for me. This is the hometown of my husband.

One of the latest addition in Ocean Springs beauty is Fort Maurepas Park. It was officially opened on October 5, 2009. This is the view you will be enjoying if you visit this place. The beautiful scenery of the Gulf Coast.
The building in Fort Maurepas Park and the wide space in it.
The view of the Front Beach in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.
This is the pathway heading to the building decorated with flags historically important to the city.

Hubby and I always visit this place to have a picnic. Usually, we go there for lunch and spent few hours watching enjoying the breeze from the sea. Visit Fort Maurepas Park now and tag along your kids for them to play on the cool playground.

By the Beach

When I arrived from work today, I still have a pounding migraine. I was thinking what to eat to satisfy my cravings. I am not pregnant! I am just like this if I have a headache. After taking a nap yesterday, I took a long cold shower to ease the feeling of burning sensation of my head. It is like a volcano ready to explode violently, LOL. Oh well, the crazy thing that I did? I cut my hair 6 inches shorter. Got long hair so, I still have below the shoulder length right now. We went to the beach area to cool down from this humid and warm weather. There were teenagers playing volleyball and we hang out there for an hour.
Anyway, I want to smell the fresh air so, the beach is the right place to spend a relaxing snack time. By watching the view of the ocean, it made my vanish all too suddenly. It really helps! Thank God! Right now, I feel the relief already. Hoping it will go away for so long.
It is windy today and it is not good for crabbing or fishing. In a distance, I can see people fishing though.
There were few kids playing in the playground. This place is called Fort Maurepass in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

The Seagulls

Whenever we feel like going to the beach, my eyes will always be delighted to see the birds on the beach. My husband doesn't like these birds because for him, they are lazy birds. They just wait for some shrimp boat and steal what the fisherman got. Well, they just hover on the boat though and if given the chance, they can steal what they caught.
My husband doesn't like the idea that they just stay in flock and wait for something. The Pelicans on the other hand, were out by the sea and fishing for food. The Seagulls can do the same and can dive on the water but, seldom you see them do it.
It just amazed me how they are flock together and if it is windy, they faced the wind blows. I find it as amazing behavior especially during storm and so windy, they just stay here like this.
Just wondering why can't they just fly and stay on the trees like what other birds do usually.
Well, if I have bread crumbs and I throw it at them, they love to fly above my head. All of these birds would and it entertains me a lot.

My Day Goes By Swifly

I wake up early today around four AM and can't get back to sleep. I open my blog and talk to some of my friends from the Philippines through Yahoo IM's. Later at seven, I talk to my cousin Easter and my mom. I was supposed to blog for Izea opportunities and go back to bed but, my husband bugged me to go fishing at the Harbor. My morning was spent at the beach and here are some of the pictures I took.
