Beautiful Butterfly

I love to have my coffee at the gazebo, listening to the birds chirping and just enjoying the early morning breeze. The birds were up on the trees and very noisy actually when I noticed this beautiful creature flying nearby.  When I go out, I always bring my camera if in case something might pop up just like this one.

I love watching the butterflies. They are so pretty. Have you seen butterflies in your yard lately? What color was it?

Wild Gator Along NASA Parkway

I told you one time that we saw a big gator along the ditch at NASA Parkway but, I didn't get a good picture. Today, while driving on the same area, I saw this. It is about 8 foot. I took this picture while sitting inside the car along the side of the road. Believe me, the car is a bit distant away. The ditch here has no fence so; they can always crawl on to the road if they wanted too.
 photo wildgator6_zps1f687026.jpg
The gator tried to submerge its body. Trying to hide from me and made a left stride trying to see what's going on to where I was.
 photo wildgator5_zps56309aa3.jpg
This gator is huge and fat. When I first saw it, it was swimming straight at the middle of the ditch. Now that he saw me. it went on the side and trying to feel the area.
 photo wildgator4_zps989668bb.jpg
What you see here is just part of the head, Believe me this is huge. Gators in this area is seen as ordinary sight. This area is part of animal sanctuary. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge has 140,000 acres. This place served as a refugee that provides natural habitat for more than 1,500 species of plants and animals, that includes this creature.
 photo wildgator3_zpsd51d13eb.jpg
This is the second biggest gator that I have seen in the wild. There are tiny gators that looks cute and adorable LOL but, this one is rough looking.
 photo wildgator2_zps00492304.jpg
I wish I will the big gator again so you all can see it. Remember, this is Florida and the water here is not safe to swim. When you see gator warning, don't dare and be stupid to check.

 photo wildgator_zpsa1cd485e.jpg
Gators are just lurking nearby. When we drive on the road like NASA Causeway/Parkway, I always look for gators and sure enough, I found one. Actually, I found 4 on this day but, they are tiny. This is the biggest so; it's worth taking a picture.

Frequent Visit of Birds in Our Backyard

Look who is having a nice siesta on my backyard? Oppsies ... the bird saw me. The bird probably thought that I am a paparazzi LOL invading his/her privacy. Living here in Brevard County, I have the pleasure of enjoying the beauties of wild birds right on my backyard. I have frequent visits from cardinals and woodpeckers. I am not sure what type of bird this one is.

Birds wake me up every morning with their nagging voices LOL, did you know that? Oh yeah and I prefer that than the noise of buzzing cars on the streets in Orlando.

Wanna see the wild gator in the neighborhood? On my next post ... I promise, I will post it here. Thanks for stopping by.

Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kigdom

This is the Tree of Life, a sculpted 14-story tall and 50-foot wide tree which is the centerpiece and icon in Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. This is the best time of year to visit Disney World. On this location, there is a Theater in the Tree of Life’s root system where the “It's Tough to be a Bug!” 8-minute show is being performed. This is one of my favorite attractions in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and it is a 3D movie. I enjoyed seeing Flik, my favorite ant. This is a multi-media show and Flik’s grasshopper friend Hopper is there as well. If you happen to see the Disney Pixar film A Bug's Life, you know what I am talking about. If you don’t, ask the little children, they knew the cast and supporting casts of insects and arachnids of that movie. This is the Animal Kingdom gate. The Animal Kingdom is the fourth of four theme parks built at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The other 3 themes are: Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Opened on April 22, 1998, the Animal Kingdom theme park is known to be the largest single Disney theme park in the world. I read it from Wikipedia. This theme park is more than 500 acres and dedicated around animal conservation, a philosophy pioneered by Walt Disney. To visit the Tree of Life, just follow the paths to Discovery Island Trails. If you are closer to the tree, check out the giant bark and you will recognize the 325 animals carved into the bark. It is very beautiful and creative. You will be amazed to see the Dreaming Tree of Walt Disney in Marceline, Missouri. You should check out the post soon. I will show you the Dreaming Tree of Walt Disney taken from his boyhood town, Marceline.

Birds at the Front Yard

We have a bird bath at the front yard minus the bird feeder because the squirrel is hanging out on the treetops and they ate the seeds intended for the birds. The birds love to bathe early in the morning and the squirrel is after them so; they would fly away once they saw the squirrel snooping around. It rained in Orlando and Cocoa yesterday. In fact, it rained from 11 AM until night time. We went to the boat ramp to see the Atlas V Rocket launch and when we went home, there were 8 big birds at the front yard eating and digging down the grass. I don't know what they are though. They are smaller than the ducks. They look like chickens *wink*. Anyway, it's okay with me if they come around once in a while. I like watching them having a party at the yard.

Happy is a Happy Poodle

When my husband worked at 9 AM and mine is at 10 AM, problem arises because I don't drive yet. I told hubby that I will just walk since workplace is only two blocks away. Hubby don't like the idea so; he asked few of our friends to alternately pick me up for work.

Luckily, we are surrounded with good friends. Barbara is one of the close friends that we have and she has a brown poodle named Happy. Oh she treats her as the youngest baby and Happy would wail when I tried to put leash on her. For Happy, leash would mean taking her away from mommy LOL.

Anyway, Happy is like a child, very clever, and funny too. She loves to play and when I am around she always like to kiss me which I am not a fan for. Barbara would tell he "NO" and she would be embarrassed. It happened when Barbara pick me up one time and Happy was with her. She sat nearby the armrest and keep looking at me and would sneak a kiss, LOL. I don't like her kissing me but, I thought that was funny. Barbara loves buying toys for her. Her area seemed like a Pets Aware Pet Shop and Pet Care. I miss them both. I miss playing ball with Happy. Oh, she would run and get the ball in a heartbeat.

Goodbye Ernie

This is Ernie. One of my favorite dogs but he lived in Mississippi. While we lived there for almost two years, Ernie always tagged along with his daddy (that's my cousin). Wherever his daddy go, Ernie is with him. His daddy had a house washing company, he had to go when his daddy had work to do too.Ernie passed away when one night, he had problems with his stomach and he was 12 years old. My cousin loved him as a dear child. I must admit, Ernie was really smart and funny. He would come towards me inviting to play as he would run back and forth with a wagging tail. My cousin was really devastated when the vet can't save him. When we all got together, we always talk about Ernie and the funny tricks he did when he was still alive.

Beautiful and Deadly

I was watching the Deadly Dozen TV show which is Science and Nature Documentaries. I just watch it thru my Netflix account streaming via Wifi -Wii Console. Here's two of the tiny creatures that's describe as beautiful but dangerous. This is blue octopus and it has a blue ring on it showing beautifully when provoked! It's venom is powerful enough to kill humans. There is NO blue-ringed octopus anti venom available. This is a funnel web spider mainly found in Australia. It is very tiny and highly toxic which deliver so painful when they bite. It will strike repeatedly due to their aggression. Don't be deceive by this tiny and beautiful thing, it's venom is painful and if not treated can result to death.

Animal Kingdom in Disney World

If you visit Disney World in Orlando, you should explore the breathtaking attractions in Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Taking the Kilimanjaro SAFARIs is just one part of the attraction that you should start with. Kids love to see animals in their normal habitat so, take the Maharajah Jungle Trek where they can see tigers, bats and more. You can also take the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch where you can have picture taking with Rafiki and other Disney Characters. You should check out Pangani Forest Exploration Trail and Flights of Wonder attractions too, I bet you will enjoy these attractions for sure.
There is a new attraction called Wild Africa Trek, it is so thrilling and this expedition is privately guided where you will be fitted with a harness attached to a cable system. My personal favorite attraction is Animal Kingdom are: It's Tough to be a Bug, Festival of the Lion King, Wildlife Express Train (especially when I am tired walking hehehe), Finding Nemo which is the BEST.
The TREE at the middle is called TREE OF LIFE. You should go that direction because it is the home of BUGS LIFE! Young and old will love this attraction. You will get out laughing and grinning I will bet you on that!
The picture below showing the mountain with white cap at the top is the Expedition Everest the Legend of the forbidden Mountain. Inside the cave of that mountain, you will be face to face with the famous YETI. If you love high speed trek to the mysterious Himalaya Mountain, this is the thrill you have been looking for. I must admit, I am afraid with this ride hehehe.
For sure, if you take this ride, you will scream the longest scream ever! If you call it FUN then, take the challenge of this ride! Have Fun!

Disney World Grand Vacation

I live less than 30 minutes away from Disney World and since I am a Floridian, I am entitled to a discount to any attractions in Disney. Aside from this great opportunity, I have friends who can give me free passes for all the parks in Disney World. I have been to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studio many times but, I will keep coming back if I can find time. I just enjoyed all their attractions especially the musical stage show. Wennie the Pooh is one of my favorite characters and I bought some good stuff with it for my niece back home. My grand vacation will never complete if I can't visit the Tree of Life. I love this attraction because it house the Bugs Life where Flick, the ant lives. I love their stage show!

The picture above is Rafiki from the Lion King movie. I love animated movies of Disney. In fact, I have a collection of princesses maniatures and other cute characters. I usually buy key chains too everytime I visit Disney because it gives me a sense of pride by looking at my simple collections. To know more about Disney and all it's attractions, just visit ShopWiki because it provides links to any relevant topic. They cover the most comprehensive information that you can ever get.

Animal Kingdom

Anytime I want, I can visit Disney World, one of the the most favorite tourist destination in the world. As a Floridian, locals are given special rates to each park and it is affordable. I love all the parks in Disney World and I love the different themes of their hotels. They are all enchanting and amazing! I took this picture in one of my visits in Animal Kingdom particularly in Kilimanjaro, my most favorite attraction in this park. Why? Guests will have the chance to tour Kilimanjaro and see LIVE animals roaming the area. It is pretty safe and the place is awesome especially for animal lovers. Make this place in your wishlist.

Curious Little Chipmunk

Chipmunk is omnivorous and known to be larder hoarders probably in a good way to having enough food for the winter. They have cheek pouches which help them collect as many food as they can and bring it to their burrows. This curious lil chipmunk is very observant and it never was scared of me when I stood so close to him. As you can see, he made a posed!

I took series of pictures as it kept on looking at my direction probably wondering what I am doing. Did you know that because of the sound that they make probably is the reason why it is called chipmunk.I think squirrels are cute but, even if it is cuddly hug-gable, you can't make it as a pet. I asked my husband if I can pet it just for once, he was like ..."what?..." LOL! Here it is, still posing for me and loving my attention!

Penguins

We know that Penguins are bird right? They eat seafood and their main diet is fish. They also eat squid, krill and crustaceans. Their bill has a hook at the end which is perfect for grabbing dinner. They have backward facing bristles on their tongueswhich helps slippery seafood from getting away. Amazing creation!

Rusty is a Nomad

We call him Rusty. I don't know if that is his name though. One morning, a lady driving the neighborhood and calling out the name Rusty. When I go out to water the garden, this dog was snooping behind my back. I was terrified at first but, he is very friendly and so, he stayed in our yard for few minutes and went home. Probably, he is that woman's dog. The next morning, Rusty was outside the door and when went out, he seemed to tell us that he wanted to play. So, we play "fetch". He was so happy and like a child, does not want to stop. Every morning, he waited outside our door and we played with him as if he is our dog. We do not know where he lives but, we knew he got a home. The woman never came by the road and look for Rusty also.

Anyway, we noticed that Rusty smells bad and his body was covered with mud. We thought he must be in the woods wandering. There are days that he failed to show up and we thought, the owner must chained him. There are days too that we saw him with other mean dogs. We kept wondering what's his life like? When we tried to pet him, he had a defensive look as if he was afraid that we might hurt him. My husband wanted to adopt him but, before he could find out where he lives, he vanished! For almost two months, he was gone and we never knew if he was alright. Rusty is ver smart too. One time we told him to roll over, we were surprised because he knew the command. He also knew how to crawl and can play hide! Up to now, we are waiting for Rusty to visit us one day!

Doggie Friend

We had a new neighbor and luckily, we found a new friend too. When our long time neighbor put their property in the market, we kind'a sad but they needed it because their house here is too huge for them to maintain aside from two others. So, a 68 old man who looks like 50's (LOL) bought it with his three dogs.

When I was gardening one day, someone smooch on my heel and when I look back, a huge dog is looking at me. This is Rusty and came to find out, he is not our neighbors dog. He is like a stray dog and he is new in the neighborhood too. He came from the house further. Anyway, he is so friendly and bigger than I am. When we went to a grocery, Rusty has his own share of treats. I bet his old owner train him good. He loves fetching the ball, he can crawl too. It was so funny! He had many tricks and when my husband tried to say "roll over", he did! Well, he visit us almost everyday and we feed him. Sometimes, he would bring 2 dogs as if bragging that we are his friends. Amazing dog huh?
