Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant

Titusville Florida is otherwise known as the Space City probably because the city has benefited from the tourism associated with the space program. Along the Garden Street, you will find the world famous Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant, our favorite place to hang out for good eats. This is a family-owned business by Rodney Thompson and if you are interested to learn how this business evolved, check out dixiecrossroads.com. You will be amazed how the "shrimp" story influenced this family to keep this restaurant. The place is cozy and warm with welcome. Once you walk in the property, you will feel the friendly ambiance and family oriented environment. You will immediately notice the statue of shrimp decors at the entrance. They have a good size pond with full of fish and turtles.
I am only using a BB phone so, the result of this picture below is not that clear. But, when you look closer, you will see the big fish swimming in the pond. Hungry for fresh fish?
Just a croc decor along the side of the restaurant. Nice!
See more pictures of DIXIE here. As for now, we will be going there for lunch. It will be less than an hour drive but, we love to see the beach and hang out in the area. So, wanna come with us?

Seafood Delights

I am so lucky to live here in the Gulf Coast because the seafoods are abundant and therefore, it is very cheap. My husband loves raw oysters and I prefer fried.
Clam is my favorite and I love to savor the taste of the soup in it.
Crab legs is very popular in every buffet dinning in the hotel and casino in this area. They usually have this menu during dinner. For at least $20/person, you will have a festive seafood meal. Come and visit Biloxi and Ocean Springs, Mississippi to satisfy your seafood cravings.

Birds at Snapper

We went to the other city nearby called Gulfport, Mississippi but we travel in US highway 90. The good part when you travel this highway is that you wil enjoy the view of the beach and the birds. We ate lunch at Snapper Seafood Restaurant along the way and this flock of birds caught my attention.
I took pictures as they fly around and showing us some tricks of diving so fast. They are so playful. Well, just like a kiddo, I throw some leftover bread crumbs to them and they started calling the others who are flying on the seashore.
Then, they got so many and the waiter said, "please don't feed the birds". LOL. Well, I am done taking pictures and even had one video so, I quit.
This is the Snapper Seafood Restaurant along the beach and still in Highway 90 of Mississippi. They just make the building like a trailer, three storey high. Every building on this side, one from the hurricane. It is so useless to build a regular building right?
Back to the birds now.
Hoping you enjoy the pictures.
