Chili's in Le Vista in Orlando

Have you been to Chili's lately? Hubby and I loves to dine out ... a lot ... and one of the many places that we love to hang out is #Chilis at #LeVista in #Orlando, Florida. The truth is, there are times that we are lazy to cook after a long day so; dining out is an easy option.
Half Flatbread Appetizer
There are 5 reasons why we love to dine here.
1. Chili's is Conveniently located to where we live. It probably less than 5 minutes away.
2. Affordability of the food so; the price alone is like a magnet for us.
3. Comfortable Ambiance and though there are instances that this place is crowded , guests are seated in a timely manner which is really important.
4. Friendly Servers and not passive. You know what I mean right? Servers here knows their menu so; when diners are having a hard time ordering, they can suggest for you. Pretty awesome!
5. Pleasant Experience and that's because the food is delicious.

Having Lunch at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi : The Buffet

The Buffet, that's what the buffet area called in the Beau Rivage Resort. It's one of the four casual dining areas in this casino and resort. It is true that the variety of food selection is unrivaled and the tastes of every menu they served is truly delicious in fact; the Buffet at Beau Rivage is my favorite buffet location in Biloxi. I love the variety of food that they have, the appetizing desserts and the over-all ambiance of this place. On this particular visit, we dine in for lunch because I was craving for crawfish.
Having my dessert at The Buffet.
Aside from the casual dining: The Buffet, Terrace Café, Stalla, and Coast Restaurant; they also have Fine Dining areas which are : BR Prime and Jia. For those who are like me who enjoys dining than gambling, there's a lot of areas to hang out in this resort. They have Snacks, Roasted Bean, Scoops, as well as Pool Bar and Cafe', the places where guests can enjoy Quick Bites while having a good time here in the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort.
My 3rd plate LOL ... eating crawfish. is the only food that I ate on this visit ,
well ... aside from the dessert.
Do you want to know if they have Bars and Lounges? Yes, they have. For sophisticated dining experience, check out Eight75. I still have to ask them next time why Eight75. How did they come up with that name. If you feel like dancing 'till dawn then check out The Coast Nightclub. Their Breeze Bar is also nice to hang out where guests can enjoy a cocktail while playing the video poker.
This gigantic flower vase at the center of this hallway smells great
because they keep the flowers fresh all the time.
Hubby and I loves to dine in the Buffet on a Wednesday because of the discount they offer. We both love the ambiance of this place and it's huge. The hosts and servers are pretty much on their feet! They don't keep the guests waiting for so long. Once we pay our meal, they have us seated right where we want to be seated.

We booked a hotel room for a week here and we stayed in one of the top floors. Our room has the biggest bathroom and a gigantic bathtub with an awesome view of the Biloxi City.
Heading to the Beau Rivage is about 15 minutes from our place.
Anyway, this bits and pieces of information is all I can share for now but, I will be sharing more about Beau Rivage and the gulf coast area next time. Thanks for stopping by.

Electric Umbrella Restaurant at Disney World's Epcot

Hubby and I were at Future World enjoying our favorite rides. We took Soarin, Test Trak, Spaceship Earth then, we got hungry, LOL. We grab some foods at Electric Umbrella Restaurant. The food is typical American and this place is ideal for a quick bite of burgers and fries. Their food is very affordable and my favorite place is at the second floor. It is less "traffic" LOL. This place gets really crowded at mealtime. Their food is satisfying and delicious! If you want fine dining, check out Tutto Italia at Italy Pavilion. Make a reservation ahead of time.

Cheddar Bacon Potato Frittata Recipe

This is a guest post by Jonathan Pack:

A frittata has all the same components of an omelet; it is an egg-based dish that can have any variety of savory fillings. However, it’s a lot less fussy to make. If you don’t have the patience or technique to craft the perfect omelet, a frittata is an easy way to replicate the flavor without all the flipping. This is a great Sunday brunch dish; it can be served alongside cheesy hash brown casserole for a hearty meal, or a fresh fruit salad if you’d like to keep it on the lighter side. Either way, it is substantial enough (and tasty enough) that you’ll be tempted to indulge in it for lunch or dinner or as well.

This dish can be prepared in a nonstick skillet; however, it is finished under the broiler, so if your handle isn’t ovenproof, it will need to be wrapped in foil. If you’re wary of putting a nonstick skillet into an oven, a cast-iron skillet is a good alternative. It’s completely melt-proof, and will lend a nice crust to the eggs.

Thaw out 2 pounds of frozen hash brown potatoes; you can get them with onions and peppers already mixed in, which adds a nice punch to this dish. Next, dice four slices of bacon and cook them over medium heat in whichever skillet you choose, until they are nice and crisp. Using a slotted spoon or spatula, transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel to drain off the excess fat. Discard most of the drippings from the pan, but reserve one tablespoon. Add the thawed hash brown potatoes and cook for two minutes, stirring occasionally. At this point, you can preheat your broiler.

In a medium bowl, beat 6 eggs until well-combined. Season the eggs with ½ teaspoon of salt and stir in ¼ cup of milk and 1 cup of shredded cheese. Taco cheese or nacho cheese will play well off of the onions and peppers and give your dish some added pizazz. Add the egg mixture to the potatoes in the skillet and stir to combine. This is the last time you will stir the dish, as you’ll want the eggs to begin setting.

Cover the skillet and stir until the eggs are set on the bottom and sides, about 6 to 8 minutes. The center will still be liquidy at this point. Remove the cover and sprinkle the diced, cooked bacon and an additional ¾ cup of shredded taco or nacho cheese over top of the frittata. Transfer the skillet to the preheated broiler, about 5 to 6 inches from the heat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the center is firm and set and the cheese has melted. Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and enjoy no matter what time of day it is!

Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant

Titusville Florida is otherwise known as the Space City probably because the city has benefited from the tourism associated with the space program. Along the Garden Street, you will find the world famous Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant, our favorite place to hang out for good eats. This is a family-owned business by Rodney Thompson and if you are interested to learn how this business evolved, check out dixiecrossroads.com. You will be amazed how the "shrimp" story influenced this family to keep this restaurant. The place is cozy and warm with welcome. Once you walk in the property, you will feel the friendly ambiance and family oriented environment. You will immediately notice the statue of shrimp decors at the entrance. They have a good size pond with full of fish and turtles.
I am only using a BB phone so, the result of this picture below is not that clear. But, when you look closer, you will see the big fish swimming in the pond. Hungry for fresh fish?
Just a croc decor along the side of the restaurant. Nice!
See more pictures of DIXIE here. As for now, we will be going there for lunch. It will be less than an hour drive but, we love to see the beach and hang out in the area. So, wanna come with us?

Butter Peacan Ice Cream

I went to a Filipino Store few days ago and bought a halo halo fruit mix. Sometimes, my cravings are bad so; when I crave for a halo halo, I can make one right away. My ice cream in the fridge is a peanut butter pecan flavor which is so delicious. For hot and humid summer, ice cream and halo-halo are the kind of chillers I need! Yummy!

Sonic Chiller

Back in Mississippi, the weather is as brutal as Florida but, the sea breeze along the Gulf Coast is a lot better so; hubby and I always love to hang out along the beach. Going to East Beach, we ordered some food at Sonic and would park our car and watched people play the volleyball. One of my favorites at Sonic is the frozen Java Chillers either Mocca or Caramel with cheesticks. I can eat this for my lunch. If you have Sonic in your area, try this Java chillers, so yummy and creamy!

Bar Snacks

If you visit the supermarket, there are so many good snacks that are rich in fiber which facilitates regular defecation. This is important to most people who are having problems on how to balance the intestinal pH. Dietary fibers help stimulates intestinal fermentation production of short-chain fatty acids so, it does help reduce the risk of cancer. One of the main functions of dietary fiber is adding bulk to the stool so, it usually alleviates constipation problems. My snack which look like bariatrics, it seems that it helps the passage of foods through the digestive system easier. It just feels my uneasiness totally gone. No wonder that some people loves bar snacks with fiber content for their weight management target. Getting enough fiber can also help curbs the hunger and feel satisfied. It will work since the focus is the target of weight loss. So, if a person has healthier body weights, they probably have higher intake of fiber rich food. As for me, I love my bar snacks for my digestive health to keep it working smoothly by regularity. So far, it's working with me and my snack taste great too. It's just like eating a candy bar with so many texture once it's in the mouth. I am enjoying it every morning.

Keebler Danish Wedding Cookies

I saw this in the cookie isle in Walmart! I have been looking for this cookie for so long and I can't believe my eyes when I saw the Danish Wedding Cookie made by Keebler which was displayed at the top of the shelves! It was in 2008 when I attended the "Christmas Party" of the whole clan of my husband in Mississippi. It was a huge party in the house of Aunt Myra, the sister of my hubby's mom. The best sweet treats in the party includes the homemade EGGNOG and homemade Wedding Cookies. Sort of like a tradition that these two should be on the table.I love the homemade wedding cookies of cousin Margaret and it was the first time that I tasted such delicious cookie. I must admit, I am not a big fan of cookies but, this wedding cookie totally got the approval of my taste buds!I look forward for every occasion for this cookie because it's the specialty of cousin Margaret. She shared her recipe in verbal but, can't remember half of it, LOL! That is why, seeing this in the grocery was truly big deal for me! Pardon my shallow madness LOL!

Twister Fries

I have crazy food cravings! It is so easy to feed me because I am so shallow with just anything. How shallow? Well, I can cry with sentimental movies even if I saw it a millionth times. You can drag me to eat bananaque while walking on the street hehehe, sort of! Thanks to the wonders of deep-fryer and frozen fries! This preparation is easy and no sweat at all!

I found a website that talks about food and simple recipes and they send email newsletters to their subscribers. It is very helpful for me because I have no cooking idea whatsoever! My mother is the cook in the house and I am the breadwinner! I have no time for cooking during my day off. My aunt's family lives with us for many years and all my cousins do the cooking too. Basically, I provide for food and they do the cooking! Anyway, living away from home is not easy! But, I manage to adjust pretty good! For four years, what do you expect? I am NO expert but, I can cook and hubby loves my cooking! Well, twister fries is just a comfort food that I featured in this post! Even a three year old knows how to make this with supervision, LOL!

Rice Cakes and Etcetera

One of the favorite foods that I missed in the Philippines are Mongo Siopao and "kakanin" such as PUTO and SUMAN of which, rice is the main ingredient. My neighbor who can prepare these goodies deliciously offered her services to make one for me.
I gave her enough budget good for 30 person and we decided to visit Devine Mercy Hill. It is a religious and a holy place for devotees of the Devine Mercy. It is where you can find the 50 ft. statue of Jesus, who is the source of the Devine Mercy.
What a nice activity to enjoy the food that I missed; having a good time with my mom and neighbors that the company I enjoyed so much.
I still love the simplicity of LIFE. The simple taste of food that satisfy my food craving and the fun that could last a lifetime.

The picture above is called Peanut Kisses, locally made from Bohol, a place in the Philippines where good food and amazing scenery is located. I had a wonderful Christmas Holiday in the Philippines!

Lechon in the Philippines

If the US needs to have TURKEY for thanksgiving, in the Philippines, it is LECHON. It's been two weeks since I arrived Cagayan de Oro City and still I am craving to find a tasty lechon. My husband call this roasted pig.
The family of my husband (except the brother) had no idea what's the taste of a lechon. His brother who lived Hawaii for so long, loves lechon and was able to share the preparation of cooking a Hawaiian lechon which is very different in the Philippines. The other siblings of my husband would wonder what's the taste of our lechon but, since we can't find a place to buy or make lechon, there's no way that I can share how delicious lechon is, right?

Grilled Chicken With Shrimp Scampi

Hubby and I had nothing to do today so, we decided to find good eats. We decided to go to RED LOBSTER and I chose this entree'. Hubby ordered only the scampi and potato with sour cream.

I never had grilled chicken for a long time so, I ordered this and guess what? I had no regrets because it's tender and the taste is so good. I can only wish for a steamed rice. Try it!

Food Stop

When I arrived LA, my friends Rose and Gene picked me up at the airport and went straight to Downtown Disney. Here in Naples we ate late lunch and I ordered something that can fill me up. I can't remember the taste of my food but, I think it was alright. I was not that hungry that is why I can't recall the taste.

I don't eat ice cream but with Haagen Dazs, I can probably eat a serving. Well, this is Rose favorite ice cream and so, we dig in LOL! If my mood is eating ice cream, I love rocky road! Yummy!

First stop in LA, food treats! I love that vacation! It gives me a full relaxation from my 10 month work in the casino.

Mc Donald's I Love

Back in the Philippines, Mc Donald's is one of my favorite fast food chains. I love the taste of their crunchy fried chicken and the tasty cooler goodies! I also love to collect their kid pack collectibles. I am still a child at heart by then, LOL! Right now, I am so over with the fun of collecting for myself but, I do buy them for my niece and nephews.
This is the McDonald's near Canal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. I was just attracted to take the picture because when I stand in this angle, the tree is right at the middle, LOL! Just a shallow fascination (wink)!
