Love my Job

Authored by Greg Fletcher:

I love my job but I hate my boss…don’t you hate when that happens? I feel like I’m constantly stuck in the middle of he and his wife. They are divorced but they decided to keep running the business together for whatever reason so he’s all “look into T1 Manhattan” and she’s like “No! No more money on technology!” and I don’t know which one of them to listen to. I thought that when I took this job it would be a great chance for experience that I didn’t have before but you know, at the end of the day it feels like what’s really happening is that I’m being used and abused as a catch-all employee. I’m not their therapist which is what I keep telling my boss but they don’t seem to care – anyone and everyone who will listen to them gripe about their issues with each other are going to get an earful. I just wish they’d learn to work together instead of making us play mediators between them.

My New Friend

Thanks for the post from Al Mills:

Since my husband is in the Army, we move a lot. Because of this it has been really hard for me to make and keep friends. I’ve tried to get involved in different social activities in each place we have lived, but I just haven’t had the good luck of finding friends I really click with. We just moved again, and I am so happy, because I think I finally found a friend I can depend on. She has been so helpful with the move, and I am so appreciative. She showed me around the area and has recommended some great shops and restaurants. She also helped me find some awesome Direct tv deals when I was setting up all of our utilities at home. It’s nice to finally feel like I’ve made a friend I can lean on and that I’m not completely alone. I know my husband will be relieved that I will have someone to depend on besides him for social interaction too. I hope neither she or I has to move again any time soon.

Quitting Job

Thanks for the post from Barney Crosby:

When I first quit my job to stay home with the kids I was bored out of my mind. I had a really hard time adjusting to not being in an office environment and I missed the adult interaction I used to get on a daily basis. Not only that, but I felt really bad no longer bringing in income for our small family. I recently went to the Internet and searched out Sneedville hughesnet which I'm getting at the house next week. I'm going to look for ways to make some extra money while still staying home with the kids because I need something to make me feel like my mind is turning to mush. I know it sounds silly but I'm not really cut out were sitting at home all day watching talk shows and doing load after load of laundry. I know some women really love this lifestyle but for me it's more torture than it is a pleasure. I love my kids but I'm dying to send them to daycare!

Blind Date

Guest post written by Jeramy Sparks:

My big sister in my sorority is setting me up on a blind date. I thought I would be more nervous than I am, but I am actually very excited about it. When I watched movies about blind dates, they always turn out horrible and there are all these awkward moments. However, I have come to realize all these movies were before internet providers and Facebook. I have already “friended” my future blind date and the Facebook stalking has begun. We actually have a great deal in common. He is an avid snow skier, who actually grew up in Colorado. He appears to be very serious about school, but still enjoys a good time. I do not know how people survived blind dates before the internet. I am hopeful there will not be too much awkwardness because we already have a general idea about our mutual likes and we have already talked a little online. Our actual date is tomorrow night and I am hopeful it goes as well as I have made it go in my head.

USB Connect and a Netbook

As much as possible, I wanted to stay home and finish all my tasks before I head out with friends. I work from home as a sideline and it's hard for me to go and head the grocery without finishing my tasks. It doesn't happen that way most of the time especially when husband demands his share of my time too. Sometimes it is so hard to set outside our social life, right? You just can't just live your life focus virtually online. That is why, I bought this Netbook which is so handy and got my USB connect for free but, I had a contract for two years. It is not bad because if hubby wants to have a coffee at Starbucks, I can check my mails and go online thru Wi-Fi. If in case we go to the beach and there is no establishment nearby to get the Wi-Fi source, I use my USB connect and I can blog while hubby is fishing on the fishing dock! Thanks to the wonders of technology!

Perfect Movies and Sitcoms on Satellite TV

Guest post written by my buddy Franklin Davenport

My favourite television sitcom of all time has to be Friends. This sitcom is a perfect family adventure with well acted scenarios from a cast of excellent actors and actresses. Courtney Cox who plays Monica is fantastic as a neat freak who has to have everything perfect within the home. She will freak out if a cup has been placed on the table without a coaster to protect the table. My brother who is only fourteen years old loves her like crazy and is similar to her in the way that he likes his bedroom perfectly clean with everything neatly in place.

In one episode she books a future wedding between herself and Chandler Bing who is another main character in the sitcom inside a museums' main hall. Ch! andler had not even proposed to her yet and when the curator rang to say that the Monica and Chandler wedding could go ahead he lost the plot and ran from the room. To watch the show is hilarious and the whole of my family except grandad watch the show. We watch it as often as possible on satellite tv from cannonsatellite.com as it has always been the best way to watch movies as well as sitcoms. I am sure that if we watch it anymore that we should be entitled to free trip to the studios to watch it being made.

Blessings in Blogging

For me, blogging is my sideline business and it does bring "moolah" in the bank. Anybody who has the patience to face the computer most of the day and creative enough to take this "work-from-home" business seriously, I guarantee that it can support your luxury. The opportunity of landing a good high paying job these days are scarce so; blogging is a rewarding job which you can enjoy and earn money easy!
These two gadgets were just few of the things that I bought thru blogging. When I have errands to do outside my home, I make sure that I have these two tiny goodies with me. Internet on the go, fast and reliable using this USB connect. I only use this lappy while I am not on my desk at home. If you have no alternate laptop, this netbook will come in handy. Enjoy blogging y'all!

Philadelphia Flyers

Guest post of the week by Nestor Nielsen:

I am a huge Philadelphia Flyers fan, so needless to say I was hugely disappointed when Danny Briere was suspended three games for laying the wood on some punk Frans Nielson of the New York Islanders. This is a disturbing trend because my Philly boys are known for toughness, and the nancy boy commissioner Gary Bettman is trying to crack down on the crosschecking and bad boy style of hockey for some reason, even as he encourages fighting and rough play of the legal kind. Like how is my boy supposed to know when to say when? Seems a little contradictory to me, all this encouraging of violence and discouragement of crosschecking.

All of this started when I was watching a game on my expert satellite TV between the aforementioned Islanders and the best team in the history of the world, the Philadelphia Flyers. Anyone who watches the Flyers knows that are awesome and have kick butt colors and will beat your brains out and give you H-E double hockey sticks. So when Frans got laid out it was no surprise, and the crowd cheered and even Islanders fans left the game with renewed respect for Philly. Then the suspensions happened, and now everyone's angry. Seriously Bettman, quit micro-managing the sport.

Geico Commercials are the Best

Authored by Raymond Whitney:

My favorite commercial, of all time, is the Geico - but only when the Geico is actually present and talking. His body moves around so smoothly and perfectly that it is difficult to believe that the words are not actually coming from him. Now, I generally do not fall for a number of commericals I see on television but I actually did change my car insurance to Geico. As a result I ended up saving a couple of hundred dollars a year.

All of the Geico commercials I have seen on TV have been excellent. They are always tasteful and well done. My children enjoy them - but not quite as much as I do. It is always exciting to be watching my satellite TV ever since I signed up for a direct tv promotions a saw online and see the little green Geico pop on the screen.

Anyone who has not seen the latest Geico commerical is in for a real treat. The little guy is at some type of business meeting. Next you see him standing on top of a podium talking to the group of gathered business executives. However, the man actually giving the presentation, while talking to the Geico, has some type of major problem and he is stopped in his tracks.

Bad Service by Brighthouse

It's been almost a week and here I am back to blogging. There is an inner voice telling me to blog, LOL! Kidding! As much as I wanted to blog and be on my computer table, situation won't permit me. First, two weeks had passed and still we don't have internet. Brighthouse cable company can't fix the wiring! How hard it can be? They will just have to drill on our wall right? They have the HOA permit already so, what else they need? Oh! I know what they needed! They need competent and knowledgeable employees! Would you believe it if I say, there were 5 people who came by to figure why they can't get a signal? Two of the 5 knows what they are doing! This place needs rewiring! GRRRRR! I will call AT&T to switch!

Satellite Internet Service

I remember when my father was working in the far east, communication is really scarce. The only way to contact him was through long distance call which was very expensive at that time. If there were emergency, telegram was also popular. The access to communication technology was limited to those who live in the city. If a person lives in a remote area, he needs to travel to the city to call or send a telegram. Well, that was two decades ago because in this generation, technology is zooming beyond our expectation. Remote areas can access to a satellite internet service providers these days. If families separated with distance halfway around the globe, communication is not a problem. They can talk online using the Internet and even see each others webcam. What a comfortable life we have for having this access right? Well, Internet providers are not always accessible in some areas. But, having a satellite Internet service gives us access even if we live in rural areas. We have amazing technology at present. With just a click of a finger, we can communicate to our love one who resides abroad. Having internet access gives us the comfort of shopping online and surfing the things we need to know. I cannot ask for more. How about you?

High Speed Internet Access

I must admit that my life is not complete without my computer and a high speed internet access. I will go insane without it. I realized that I can't live without it when my computer failed to connect to the internet. It was my fault though because I screwed up my computer setting. At that time, I was so stressed out because I can not blog and I can not talk to my mother on-line. Another incident was the slow connection of my internet provider. I am sure that most of you can relate to my experience. That is why to avoid these things from happening, make sure that your internet provider is dedicated to quality and reliable service. Just like Wild Blue Satellite Internet Service which offers fast download, always on-connection to the internet and with available technical support in the US. For more information about this company, just click the link which is provided here. Anyway, when I am at home, I use the internet to watch my favorite movies, videos, surfing for popular news in politics and entertainment, and talking to my mother via messenger. My life evolves in the Internet since it is the fastest connection to my mother who lives halfway across the globe.

Getting a Domain

My blog is in PR 3 right now and I am still in the process of whether to buy a domain or not. If I decided to get a domain in this blog, I might lose my PR in two months. Just like what happen to my two other blogs. But, I will have more opportunities if I have my domain. I didn't make up my decision yet but, I will really push on getting one soon. I got three blogs and this is my baby blog that I planned to get a domain. I was just reading about a web site hosting that provides a good customer support whenever they are needed. That is exactly what I need this year. Last year, I have a problem with my two blogs and I can't contact the customer representative. I ended up solving the problem myself with the help of my brother. If I decide to get my domain in this blog, I will make sure that the company has a support team that I can call and talk the problem right away. Technical problems are real mess which can be encountered daily. But, with the help of a support team, I can relax that anything will be fine.

Internet access is now part of my life. I would go crazy if we lost the internet connection. For primary reason, I use the internet to talk to my family and friends back home. It is a necessity to my needs and I am getting used to it. Others are sensible enough and can relate about what I am saying here for sure.
