Justiniano R. Borja was the mayor of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines for 10 years. He served as an honest and dedicated public servant from 1954-1964.
This statue is located in the heart of Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City. He died at the age of 52. 
I took these pictures while waiting for my orders in a local restaurant nearby. I visited my hometown last October and for three years, the city has grown with infrastructures and blooming with big time businesses.
Despite of finding the remedy for traffic issues, my city remain as The City of Golden Friendship.
