Lake Eola Fountain Display

Hubby and I went to Lake Eola on the Fourth of July to watch the Fireworks. I was actually eager to go because I want to witness the highlight of the event which is the spectacular 15-minutes fireworks after the fountain display. The Lake Eola Fountain was recently renovated and on this FREEDOM day, the fountain will be turned on for the first time showing the water, light and sound display. The fountain display was spectacular and it sway with the sounds. It was a dancing fountain so to speak. Right after the fountain display, fireworks followed! If only I have a DSLR camera, my shots could have been beautiful at night. But, I am only using my blackberry phone and the distance of the fountain is a little bit far. So, the result of these pictures were all I got.
We arrived at 7PM and the park was already jam packed with people. They say, there were 80,000 people who witness the event and I guess, it probably true.
This Lake Eola Area is a circular shape and the whole place was full! Across that lake, it was jam packed of families too! There was a live concert at the theater stage and the music was echoed in the entire park. Some people enjoyed the event and I also saw people who are restless and tired of waiting. There's nothing to do but, wait for the time to start.
This is just one of the condominium in downtown Orlando which has a good view of Lake Eola. There were people on the terrace celebrating the 4th of July and they have a good place to watch the fireworks.
The spectacular show started with a countdown at 9:29 PM and lasted up to 10PM. It was fun and I would definitely comeback next year!

Lake Eola Park Fireworks Display

This year's 4th of July celebration in Orlando has been memorable in so many ways. Celebrating Freedom Day while all of us are anxious on the "verdict watch" of the Casey Anthony Murder Trial. Floridians learned to love the face of the little girl CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY simply because from DAY 1, people are involved in finding the little girl.Thousands of people volunteered searching the woods and swamp all over Orlando. The state spent so much money to search where Caylee was because the mom won't tell where and what happen to the little girl.Caylee won't see these fireworks! She has the right to see how spectacular this event is. But, I can only hope and that will never happen because Caylee's remains was found DEAD in a swamp. The 12 jury has spoken their VERDICT on 7/5/2011 at the Courthouse which is two blocks away from LAKE EOLA PARK. This case will be remembered forever! A NOT GUILTY VERDICT for Casey Anthony is hard to take but, CAYLEE is not the only Victim who had NO JUSTICE. And that's the real truth! Who is accountable for her death? This question will be left unanswered FOREVER and it's because the 12 JURORS have spoken NOT GUILTY to the accused.Orlando will move on with life and put this case aside. The prosecution asked this question to the jury: WHO's life is better without Caylee? The lesson about this whirlwind event? Someone can get away with murder if you LIE. Someone can get away with murder if you put the body in a trash bag , tossed the body in a swamp and eaten by animals. Someone can get away with muder if you accuse men in the family with sexual abuse. Someone can get away with murder ... period! And this is true in the Casey Anthony Murder Trial! Such a sad and tragic ending with the life of this little girl.

Downtown Orlando

Downtown Orlando- The Summerlin Park is a beautiful place to hang out specially when you need a fresh air or jog circling the park. The people called this place as Lake Eola Park which has a sinkhole type of lake and the fountain is what makes it famous The fountain changes colors at night like a light show and in the daytime it looks like a UFO landed in the pond. The lake is 4,529 feet in circumference and 23 acres large. If you go hiking or jogging in this area, it is safer and you will enjoy the 1.37 km multi-use sidewalk that circles the water. Since I walk around the circumference, these are the pictures I got in each angle. Have fun!
Taking pictures on the high rise building on my left side.
The lake and the swans. The swan is artificial and you can use this to take a ride along the lake. Too bad I don't take the chance of experiencing what it is like to be in the middle of the lake.
High rise condominiums at downtown Orlando.
The view behind the amphi theatre which the Disney characters and other musical talents gives the audience a free entertainment.
The beautiful landscape and the walkway of Lake Eola Park.
Palm trees making it notable that you are in the sunshine state Florida.
Colonial Bank stood so greatly :-)
What a beautiful sight! I love how I capture the "silhouette" of the building on the water.
The famous fountain at the center of the lake.
I love this condo but I can't afford the price.
Here is the other view of the condo that I love to live. Have a great time watching the pictures.
