Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar

Last week, a friend wanted to have lunch with us. She decided to meet us at the Grills in Cape Canaveral. This is about 20 minutes from our place but, it's more than an hour from her since she lives in Orlando.

Our friend loves to hang out by the Space Coast especially in Cocoa. Before we meet, she went to the beach to relax. We arrived here first and it was already crowded. It was a gorgeous day! We ordered when our friend arrived.

This place in nearby Port Canaveral in fact; when the cruise ships sail to their destinations, they pass along the waterways in front of these restaurants. While dining, we can actually see the Disney Cruise Ship, Carnival Cruise Ship and others sail away. The tourists wave at us ... well, they usually do that. It is common that diners wave back at them too.

The food here is great! The price is just right.  Their servers are good. You should check it out!

Next time, I will try to take photos of how it look like inside.

It was crowded so; we parked a bit further. Good thing we found a great spot here.

Great landscape!

The parking space is not a problem here. Would you like to visit thie Grills? Here is the compete address:

View of the Banana River

My husband and I were heading back home from the beach, passing Banana River along Cape Canaveral. While we were routing the 528 road, I just can't help but focus my camera on the wide blue skies. It was a gorgeous day and I have seen people kayaking, boating, fishing in the waist deep water (not afraid of gators) and surfing. At the far right of the photo is the Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal. There were cruise ships waiting for their schedule to depart. We were thinking, it would have been nice if we have a jet ski. What a great day to enjoy the outdoors!

Port Canaveral: Cruise Cargo and Naval Port

Port Canaveral is about 20 minutes away from our place and it is a cruise, cargo and naval port. We usually come here to see some cruise ships sail away. Some of the cruise ships are Carnival Sensation, Carnival Ecstasy, Carnival Dream, Norwegian Sun, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Monarch of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas. They usually sail at 4 PM and we just parked our car at the parking lot and enjoy the beauty of the cruise ship. This road heads to the restaurants and bars such as Rusty's, Baja Tavern and Eats, Fish Lips, Milliken's Reef, and Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar.The picture below was taken in Astronaut Blvd and George King Blvd.If you travel towards the cruise terminal, you will be driving on this road Bennett Causeway and you will get excited to see the cruise ships on the left side of the road. They have a huge parking lot in the terminal and you can park your car on a daily rate. Parking is not a problem here because you can find parking lot with starting rate at $5.95/day. Most of them offers free rides to and from the cruise terminal. I rather have this area as my Port of Call than in Miami. Less stress and no traffic and the area is easy to navigate so; have a wonderful cruising!

Rusty's Seafood Restaurant at Cape Canaveral Florida

Are you cruising and your port of call is Port Canaveral Florida? If you still have the time, you should check out Rusty's Seafood Restaurant at Cape Canaveral. You can actually see Rusty's from the deck of your ship. We love to dine at Rusty's because of the ambiance, the scenery at the deck side area and the food is really great. If you love mussels, fresh oysters and grilled foods, this is your place! We can tell that most of these people at this time were tourists. They are talking about Bahamas and how they love this location and so on. They keep glancing at their huge ship at the distance too. The cruise terminal is just nearby in fact when they sail away, they will pass here and this deck area is a good location to see.Oh I love them when the tourists waved at us and vice versa. They cheer and we did too which is really fun.If you love seeing seagulls and pelicans, they are everywhere in this area. They sometimes hop in the railings at Rusty's. I have never been to Rusty's at night and one of these days, we will be there for sure. They said it was nice and cool with the live band around.
This place is always crowded maybe because their servers are very friendly and well-rounded and the food is great.I will be posting their menus in my Food Delights Blog. Come by and see the pics okay? Thanks for the visit. See you again.

Hanging out at the Port Canaveral Area

When my husband and I gets bored for the day, we hit the road and travel 30 minutes to Port Canaveral. This area is a strategic location to leisure destinations and cruise lines. We dine in to a restaurant along the area where we can see the cruise ships leave the port. This cruise ship is Carnival Sensation heading to Bahamas destination for 4 nights. When we had our cruising to Bahamas last October, we travel to Miami Port because our cruise line is Norwegian. It would be nice to cruise again and Port Canaveral is the perfect departure port for us.Here I am watching the Carnival Sensation passing by the restaurant ...
