We were in Mississippi last year when my husband received a devastating call, our closest friend had died. I had a flight set for Los Angeles the next day and there is no way that we can go for the burial the following day. This is our first visit and a sad moment seeing him in this place of eternal rest.We visited the Florida National Cemetery following Memorial Day to get away from the big crowd. His family visited him on Memorial Day but had to go home early because the activity inside the cemetery was too emotional. There were beautiful talks and presentation inside the cemetery and for others it's just too hard to handle. We invite the wife to go with us the next day so here we are together. We missed him so bad. He was my adopted father during our wedding and "always willing to lend a hand" kind-a friend to everyone. That quote was written on his grave marker or head stone chosen by his sons.
