Having Lunch at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi : The Buffet

The Buffet, that's what the buffet area called in the Beau Rivage Resort. It's one of the four casual dining areas in this casino and resort. It is true that the variety of food selection is unrivaled and the tastes of every menu they served is truly delicious in fact; the Buffet at Beau Rivage is my favorite buffet location in Biloxi. I love the variety of food that they have, the appetizing desserts and the over-all ambiance of this place. On this particular visit, we dine in for lunch because I was craving for crawfish.

Aside from the casual dining: The Buffet, Terrace Café, Stalla, and Coast Restaurant; they also have Fine Dining areas which are : BR Prime and Jia. For those who are like me who enjoys dining than gambling, there's a lot of areas to hang out in this resort. They have Snacks, Roasted Bean, Scoops, as well as Pool Bar and Cafe', the places where guests can enjoy Quick Bites while having a good time here in the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort.

Do you want to know if they have Bars and Lounges? Yes, they have. For sophisticated dining experience, check out Eight75. I still have to ask them next time why Eight75. How did they come up with that name. If you feel like dancing 'till dawn then check out The Coast Nightclub. Their Breeze Bar is also nice to hang out where guests can enjoy a cocktail while playing the video poker.

Hubby and I loves to dine in the Buffet on a Wednesday because of the discount they offer. We both love the ambiance of this place and it's huge. The hosts and servers are pretty much on their feet! They don't keep the guests waiting for so long. Once we pay our meal, they have us seated right where we want to be seated.

We booked a hotel room for a week here and we stayed in one of the top floors. Our room has the biggest bathroom and a gigantic bathtub with an awesome view of the Biloxi City.

Heading to the Beau Rivage is about 15 minutes from our place.

Anyway, this bits and pieces of information is all I can share for now but, I will be sharing more about Beau Rivage and the gulf coast area next time. Thanks for stopping by.

Flashback Wednesday: The Gulf Coast

Happy Hump Day everyone! Too many work to get done but, too little time. Have you got the same dilemma as I have? If you are a full time mom and dad, I bet you can relate. As much as possible, I am trying to get my blog running good and updated. For Flashback Wednesday, let's visit the Gulf Coast.

I took this photo on the 24th floor of the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino where hubby and I were staying.  This is the city of Biloxi, Mississippi. This is one of the hard hit areas during Hurricane Camille and Katrina but despite of that, they bounced back to normality. Gaming Business is doing great and more or less this place has 8 casinos. If Las Vegas is too far for you, you can check out this place. The food here is great and if you are looking for seafood, this is the right place to explore.

Aside from Beau Rivage Resort, we also stay in the Isle of Capri (see the photo above.). Isle of Capri is now named as Golden Nugget in Biloxi. Under the new management, I still have to check it out. Maybe this Christmas as we spend our Christmas Holiday with family and friends in Ocean Springs. If you happen to visit the Gulf Coast and looking for a place to stay with amazing view by the gulf, you should check out these two: Beau Rivage and Golden Nugget. I totally recommend these two because I stayed there. I love their buffet too. Oh, I can't wait!

Now, this was taken at the balcony of our room in Golden Nugget (Isle). The room we booked was overlooking the bay of Biloxi. It was a pleasant stay. The land mass of the opposite side of the bay is the Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

The picture above is the Bay Bridge on I-90. It connects Biloxi and Ocean Springs. One day, I will be jogging in this place and have breakfast in Golden Nugget, sounds great huh? Well, we actually live in Ocean Springs before and I worked in one of the casinos in the area of Biloxi. Golden Nugget is one of the places that hubby and I eat for breakfast because it's just nearby our place.

The photo above is the boat dock at the back of Golden Nugget. There are shrimp boats in the area too but, mostly they dock at the back of Hard Rock Hotel and casino.

Here we are at the Front Beach in Ocean Springs, taking our lazy time. The Golden Nugget is the building across. Oh by the way next year, we will be moving back to Mississippi to be with our family and relatives. We are in the process of looking at houses. I can't believe that I am actually excited.

A blogger would take photos randomly. About 5 years ago, someone asked me, "Why do you always take pictures?" and I replied, I blog about it, I am a blogger. " A blogger? What's a blog?" Thank goodness that these days, people have the idea what's a blogger and a blog means. Everyone is doing it especially when Twitter, Instagram and Facebook became a way of life, right? Before, they probably thought it was my first time to see tons of food on the table LOL. You know those awkward moment when I took photos of my plate and all LOL. You can relate, I know that.

Awesome View Along the Beach Boulevard

You see when we were living in Mississippi, I have two days day off in a row. On my day off, after lunch while FIL was taking a nap, hubby and I would go shopping at the Edgewater Shopping Mall along Beach Boulevard in Biloxi. The road that you are seeing below is the Beach Boulevard. The big building is Beau Rivage and Hard Rock which are both casino and hotel. Almost everyday, we dine in those places because the price is affordable.

The view by the Gulf is truly amazing! If you know Alex North in Facebook or seen his collection of photos  in ( www.naturallynorth.net ) , you will be blown away! The Gulf coast is a beautiful place to raise a family. Well, as long as the weather is great and the skies are blue, the Gulf  coast is a fun place to explore.

Twice a month, hubby and I would just drive the I-90 and off we go to New Orleans in Louisiana. It's about an hour drive.  The awesome view by the Gulf is endless. I tell you, if you can't go to Las Vegas, visit Biloxi. There are hotels and casinos in Biloxi. You will surely enjoy the beach, the slot machines and more!

My husband and I stayed at Beau Rivage Hotel for three days vacation. Our hotel rate is low even if it is a peak season and our room is perfect in size. We have a double queen size bed, bathroom is humongous with gigantic bathtub, big standing shower and double vanity. The room that we have is one of the best hotel rooms that I have ever been to. The picture below was taken from our room.

Let me tell you what I don't like in Beau Rivage. Wi-Fi is not accessible to all the guest. I have my Apple iPad with me and I was searching for the entire area to connect to the Internet but, I got no luck. I can access from the connection of the coffee shop but not from the hotel. RIDICULOUS!

I need to open my emails and do my blog so; hubby and I went to the ISLE for lunch and hey, access to the Internet is ANYWHERE in the premises!

I think our room was in the 23rd or 24th and I took a good shot of the picture of the horizon below.

Here is the Beau Rivage Hotel which is so grand but, access to Wi-Fi is only limited to the expensive rooms perhaps.

I was a bit disappointed with our stay at the Beau but, I endure for three days because of the excellent bedroom.

On the fourth day, we check out and move to the ISLE.

Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi

This is Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. This is my favorite hotel and casino in this area because it's big and grand. We stayed for three nights and our room was on the 23rd floor of the resort. There was a Wi-Fi in the rooms using the Ethernet cable but, around the resort premises, I cannot access it using my iPad2. There was a password but, not all guests were given the password, a HUGE set-back! We moved to another hotel for that reason. This is the bathroom which is huge with a separate restroom and a standing shower plus, a soaking tub.There was double sinks and the bathroom was spacious, clean and has a phone line in the rest room. The soaking tub was truly a big plus in the room. I enjoyed it.

The double sinks are spacious. Yep! I love their bathroom. I do not like the location of our room which ends 004 , ahhhh...too far from the elevator.

Three days are not enough to spend a full vacation in Biloxi. In fact, I was not able to see my friends because of the hectic schedule that we had. When our cousin visited us during our stay in Beau Rivage, he showed us the way to the poolside. Much as we wanted to stay and use the pool, we can't even find time. We are always on the run to finish our appointments for the day.So, this is the poolside and it's facing the Gulf. The pool is really clean and no one bothered swimming because the heat was a scorcher.There are people who are enjoying the warm breeze by the Gulf. They are actually British an Canadian, just having a nice afternoon.This is the gym and no one was here because everyone is gambling and playing the slots. That is a big possibility.
This resort has a spa and saloon. Hubby gave me a go signal to take advantage of the service.Anyway, on our vacation, we accomplished most of our business transaction in the area. This is nearby the hometown of my husband so, we certainly can come back here anytime.

The Beautiful Sunset

The Gulf Coast is one of the best places to watch the sunset. I took this picture a week ago while we had our vacation in Mississippi. Oh! Cover your eyes because this sunset is still shining so brightly! We were checking in the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino when I saw this beautiful sunset at the garage of the hotel. Of course, I had to asked my husband to stop so I can take a snap of this view. Beautiful, isn't it?Hoping you like it. I am using my Kodak Digital Camera.
