The Isle in Biloxi is Now Golden Nugget

2012 was the last time we stayed in this hotel. It was called Isle by that time. May 2014, we came back to Biloxi and looking for a nice place to stay for a week and found out that the Isle has a new name, the Golden Nugget. Hubby and I dine in their buffet three times and some servers that we know by face were still there. One actually recognized me.

They change the paint and the name and did some renovations inside the casino. I actually like it now than before. I also noticed that those wasted areas before were re-use for gambling areas. This time, all areas in the hotel and casino were functional. They have shopping area too and opens more boutique type stores inside. Bubba Gump restaurant is also open.

I wonder how their rooms look like now. I wonder if the furnishings and appliances are changed. So far, Golden Nugget is booming in business because every time we went inside, people were in and out the casino. Parking lots were also full all the time. People were checking in. Most gambling machines were occupied and most guests were hanging out longer.

I saw some of my co-employees were working here too. Actually, seen two dealers that I know. They were busy with the guests on their table. Golden Nugget also cut an X sq ft of the buffet space of the buffet and transformed it to a boutique store. Not bad at all.

The food in the Buffet is not as great as before though. The price per person is too high. Before, they have buffet deals and this time, very limited.

So far, I like the new casino and hotel now. I like how they re-arrange the gambling areas. More slot machines and table games too.

Right now, I watch the prices of their hotel rates. I might check in just to see the rooms and how it improves from the old Isle set up.

I kind a hoping that they change the carpet, paint color, decor and bedding's. I hope they lighten the rooms. See the bed above? Do you like it?

I like this coffee area. The coffee maker should go, right?

This bath tub should go as well, LOL.

Well, I will be staying in their hotel for sure. One night is good for me.

By the way, this area over looking the Biloxi Bridge is really nice.

I like the idea of having the terrace. The only thing that I don't like is the AC below. It's truly annoying and loud!

I will show you next time the photo of the new Golden Nugget. Thanks for stopping by.

Having Lunch at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi : The Buffet

The Buffet, that's what the buffet area called in the Beau Rivage Resort. It's one of the four casual dining areas in this casino and resort. It is true that the variety of food selection is unrivaled and the tastes of every menu they served is truly delicious in fact; the Buffet at Beau Rivage is my favorite buffet location in Biloxi. I love the variety of food that they have, the appetizing desserts and the over-all ambiance of this place. On this particular visit, we dine in for lunch because I was craving for crawfish.
Having my dessert at The Buffet.
Aside from the casual dining: The Buffet, Terrace Café, Stalla, and Coast Restaurant; they also have Fine Dining areas which are : BR Prime and Jia. For those who are like me who enjoys dining than gambling, there's a lot of areas to hang out in this resort. They have Snacks, Roasted Bean, Scoops, as well as Pool Bar and Cafe', the places where guests can enjoy Quick Bites while having a good time here in the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort.
My 3rd plate LOL ... eating crawfish. is the only food that I ate on this visit ,
well ... aside from the dessert.
Do you want to know if they have Bars and Lounges? Yes, they have. For sophisticated dining experience, check out Eight75. I still have to ask them next time why Eight75. How did they come up with that name. If you feel like dancing 'till dawn then check out The Coast Nightclub. Their Breeze Bar is also nice to hang out where guests can enjoy a cocktail while playing the video poker.
This gigantic flower vase at the center of this hallway smells great
because they keep the flowers fresh all the time.
Hubby and I loves to dine in the Buffet on a Wednesday because of the discount they offer. We both love the ambiance of this place and it's huge. The hosts and servers are pretty much on their feet! They don't keep the guests waiting for so long. Once we pay our meal, they have us seated right where we want to be seated.

The Isle in Biloxi Mississippi

Hubby and I plan to visit Biloxi Mississippi next month for the Mardi Gras Parade in the D'Iberville and Ocean Springs. I have twitter friends who works at the ISLE Hotel and Casino who might give me a room discount. During the Mardi Gras season, all hotels in the area will be fully booked so, we are hoping to find and get a room at lower rate. I took all these pictures last September 201.We had a short vacation in Mississippi and we stayed in the ISLE hotel and Casino. Our room is located on the side facing the bridge which connects the Biloxi and Ocean Springs. Our room has a small balcony and this side of the hotel has the best view to watch the sunrise. There are private yachts and shrimp boats on the docks located around the vicinity of the Isle. The view of the Gulf Coast from our room at the ISLE.The majestic building of the ISLE hotel and casino in Biloxi Mississippi located in this address: 151 Beach Boulevard Biloxi, MS 39530. If you want to check out this hotel, call this #(228) 436-4753.The room with balcony at the ISLE Hotel and Casino. The room is alright and the bedding's are clean. Not really my favorite because the huge air conditioning unit of the hotel was below us and it was really noisy but, my consolation was the outdoor view of the bridge and the Gulf Coast.
I hope on February, we can book a more nicer room than this one. Oh, the ISLE has a WiFi which I'm so grateful compared to BEAU RIVAGE which has limited access, actually I do not have any access at all during our 3-days booking. A huge disappointments!

Barhroom at the Beau Rivage

This is the bathroom at the Beau Rivage Hotel. It has two sinks and deep soaking tub with separate standing shower and a separate restroom.
This is the standing shower and it has a good size.
The soaking bath tub and the door leads to a separate restroom.
This is a soaking tub and it is really nice, deep and big.
I enjoyed this bathroom room very much. The room is clean and huge in size.
This is not in a suit room bathroom. I bet the suit rooms have grand bathrooms and way better than this one.

Road Trip US Highway 90

When we were living in Mississippi, we love to go shopping at the Edgewater Mall. The place was huge and it's about 30 minutes from where we live.As always, I love taking pictures. This is the US Highway 90, the scenic route if you are heading to Louisiana or back to Florida. When there's hurricane, this road is closed for motorists safety. Most of the buildings and houses in this area was leveled and pulled back to the sea. This is Treasure Bay Hotel and casino located in Mississippi. If you travel in the scenic route US Highway 90, heading to New Orleans, you will see this hotel on the right side of the road.
Here, a lady was waiting for her ride.
This is Beau Rivage Hotel and casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. This is my favorite hotel in Mississippi and I love the Buffet. Oh I miss it already.

Isle of Capri in Biloxi

One of the best experiences living in the Gulf Coast area is the chance to enjoy casino hopping. If you love to play the slot machines and play poker in the casino, visit Biloxi in Mississippi. During your stay, take time to visit the beach in Ocean Springs and the Beach Boulevard in Highway 90. If you are in Biloxi on Thursdays, take a food trip to the Isle of Capri and get a 50% discount or 2 for one buffet treat.

The food in Callypsos Buffet is great and affordable. For $8 (price for two already) , you can eat endless shrimps, steaks, cakes and pastries. You will get food satisfaction, good ambiance and great deal. By the way, this place is one of my favorite places to hang out in Biloxi area.

Hotels in Biloxi Mississippi

The city of Biloxi is just 10 minutes away from where we live. When Hurricane Katrina made a devastating strike in this area, most establishments including big hotels and casinos were levelled. At present, these are the big Hotels in Biloxi that made its way back after the storm.

Grand Hotel and Casino which is a sister company of Harrah's Hotel in New Orleans. The Isle of Capri is a hotel and casino and we always love this place because of their affordable buffet.

Then, there is Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

My favorite hotel in this area is the biggest and it is called Beau Rivage.

The Palace Hotel and Casino is one establishment that is planning to expand their property early this month.

The Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino or IP is one of the tallest hotels in this city.

The Treasure Bay Hotel and Casino which is located in Beach Boulevard area.

This is the only casino in this area that do not offer hotel accommodation. This is BOOMTOWN, smallest casino in this city.

Treasure Bay Hotel and Casino in Biloxi

This is the new building built at the adjacent lot where the old casino was once stood so elegant. When Hurricane Katrina hit and damaged the city, the huge Treasure Bay was totally wiped out.

I will be showing you the inside look of the casino next time. Observe the bare side lots? Well, if you travel highway 90 heading either to New Orleans or coming back to Florida, you will see how that hurricane devastated this place. Thank God that casino business still thriving and attracts the people to visit this city again.

This is Palace Casino Resort Hotel located in Biloxi, Mississippi. Sometimes, if my husband does not feel like cooking, we dine in the Palace Buffet. My Favorite Hotel

For me, Beau Rivage is the most beautiful casino and hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi. Once you are inside, you will feel that the world transformed in another dimension. They have shops and restaurants and staying in Beau Rivage will never be boring. Shopping is endless and you will never get hungry. This is one of my most favorite areas inside. A giant display of fresh flowers n the hallway.
This is Beau Rivage from the outside.
The pumpkin display was really amazing.
