Beautiful Butterfly

I love to have my coffee at the gazebo, listening to the birds chirping and just enjoying the early morning breeze. The birds were up on the trees and very noisy actually when I noticed this beautiful creature flying nearby.  When I go out, I always bring my camera if in case something might pop up just like this one.

I love watching the butterflies. They are so pretty. Have you seen butterflies in your yard lately? What color was it?

Wild Gator Along NASA Parkway

I told you one time that we saw a big gator along the ditch at NASA Parkway but, I didn't get a good picture. Today, while driving on the same area, I saw this. It is about 8 foot. I took this picture while sitting inside the car along the side of the road. Believe me, the car is a bit distant away. The ditch here has no fence so; they can always crawl on to the road if they wanted too.

The gator tried to submerge its body. Trying to hide from me and made a left stride trying to see what's going on to where I was.

This gator is huge and fat. When I first saw it, it was swimming straight at the middle of the ditch. Now that he saw me. it went on the side and trying to feel the area.

What you see here is just part of the head, Believe me this is huge. Gators in this area is seen as ordinary sight. This area is part of animal sanctuary. The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge has 140,000 acres. This place served as a refugee that provides natural habitat for more than 1,500 species of plants and animals, that includes this creature.

This is the second biggest gator that I have seen in the wild. There are tiny gators that looks cute and adorable LOL but, this one is rough looking.

I wish I will the big gator again so you all can see it. Remember, this is Florida and the water here is not safe to swim. When you see gator warning, don't dare and be stupid to check.

Gators are just lurking nearby. When we drive on the road like NASA Causeway/Parkway, I always look for gators and sure enough, I found one. Actually, I found 4 on this day but, they are tiny. This is the biggest so; it's worth taking a picture.

Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kigdom

This is the Tree of Life, a sculpted 14-story tall and 50-foot wide tree which is the centerpiece and icon in Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. This is the best time of year to visit Disney World. On this location, there is a Theater in the Tree of Life’s root system where the “It's Tough to be a Bug!” 8-minute show is being performed. This is one of my favorite attractions in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and it is a 3D movie. I enjoyed seeing Flik, my favorite ant. This is a multi-media show and Flik’s grasshopper friend Hopper is there as well. If you happen to see the Disney Pixar film A Bug's Life, you know what I am talking about. If you don’t, ask the little children, they knew the cast and supporting casts of insects and arachnids of that movie. This is the Animal Kingdom gate. The Animal Kingdom is the fourth of four theme parks built at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. The other 3 themes are: Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Opened on April 22, 1998, the Animal Kingdom theme park is known to be the largest single Disney theme park in the world. I read it from Wikipedia. This theme park is more than 500 acres and dedicated around animal conservation, a philosophy pioneered by Walt Disney. To visit the Tree of Life, just follow the paths to Discovery Island Trails. If you are closer to the tree, check out the giant bark and you will recognize the 325 animals carved into the bark. It is very beautiful and creative. You will be amazed to see the Dreaming Tree of Walt Disney in Marceline, Missouri. You should check out the post soon. I will show you the Dreaming Tree of Walt Disney taken from his boyhood town, Marceline.

Birds at the Front Yard

We have a bird bath at the front yard minus the bird feeder because the squirrel is hanging out on the treetops and they ate the seeds intended for the birds. The birds love to bathe early in the morning and the squirrel is after them so; they would fly away once they saw the squirrel snooping around. It rained in Orlando and Cocoa yesterday. In fact, it rained from 11 AM until night time. We went to the boat ramp to see the Atlas V Rocket launch and when we went home, there were 8 big birds at the front yard eating and digging down the grass. I don't know what they are though. They are smaller than the ducks. They look like chickens *wink*. Anyway, it's okay with me if they come around once in a while. I like watching them having a party at the yard.

Happy is a Happy Poodle

When my husband worked at 9 AM and mine is at 10 AM, problem arises because I don't drive yet. I told hubby that I will just walk since workplace is only two blocks away. Hubby don't like the idea so; he asked few of our friends to alternately pick me up for work.

Luckily, we are surrounded with good friends. Barbara is one of the close friends that we have and she has a brown poodle named Happy. Oh she treats her as the youngest baby and Happy would wail when I tried to put leash on her. For Happy, leash would mean taking her away from mommy LOL.

Anyway, Happy is like a child, very clever, and funny too. She loves to play and when I am around she always like to kiss me which I am not a fan for. Barbara would tell he "NO" and she would be embarrassed. It happened when Barbara pick me up one time and Happy was with her. She sat nearby the armrest and keep looking at me and would sneak a kiss, LOL. I don't like her kissing me but, I thought that was funny. Barbara loves buying toys for her. Her area seemed like a Pets Aware Pet Shop and Pet Care. I miss them both. I miss playing ball with Happy. Oh, she would run and get the ball in a heartbeat.

Living on a Farm

Our friend lives on a farm in Alabama and he got a huge shed where he stored his farm equipments. I lost count as to how many equipments he got but, he has all that he needs to use for the farm.Their house is located in a farm land and a bit distant from the road. We sleep good for the night. They have no wifi in the house but, they use DSL. I was checking on their goat farm which is located at the huge area at the back of their house. I was really careful because there are rattle snakes in the area. I was on my way at the back of the house when Lo and Behold, I saw a snake. I was really scared and I ran away from it. When I look back, the snake never moves. So, I took a picture and zoom it and showed it to our friend. He said it was not a poisonous snake. It eats rats in the farm.
Our friend has three big sheds and it looks like a "man cave" which is full of gadgets for the farm. If there is a wifi and cable in the area. I think I can live here. But, I do not know if I can manage a farm land. That is too much of a work to maintain!
