#StarTours in Hollywood Studios

When we plan to visit Disney, we usually stay for few hours. 4 hours max and we come late in the afternoon. We select 3 to 4 attractions, dine in and that's about it. We have a yearly pass so; we are not in a hurry to check out all attractions at once. On this particular day, we braved ourselves to ride the flight simutor. At the entrance, right beside the fast pass machines, characters of the Star Wars were waiting to greet the fans.

Well, there's few minutes left before take off to outer space so; we had no time to meet the characters. We move along and went towards the gate of Star Tours.

Here I was, just topping by to check out some souvenir items.

It's a long walk towards the flight simulator area so; the robot attendants were the ones who gave the directions. It was like going inside the airport and pass to a security area, LOL. The picture below is R2-D2 (standing on top of the starspeeder1000), an Astromech Droid giving directions to us.

Welcoming us in another area is C-3PO, the Protocol Droid which by the way fluent "supposedly" in over six million forms of communication. I was entertained and seemed to forget the long walk already.

I blame the long walk to the zigzag way hehehe. This is how they do it to kill the time especially when it's crowded. I really don't mind at all. The attraction is thrilling and exciting!

Check out R2-D2 on top and giving us instructions which way to go.

Here's another robot who gave us the last minute reminders.

The queue is long but, it was moving fast and besides, the robots keep us company.

I was reading the signs everywhere to make sure that this Flight Simulator is okay for me to ride. I hate adrenalin-rush rides. I said to myself, I will just close my eyes and scream if I'm scared LOL.

Actually, closing my eyes when the ride was too scary to handle, works! The bad part was when it was over, I felt dizzy and almost get sick. After a short walk along the Streets of America, I recovered my strength! That's the reason why; the Star Tour is always the last attraction that we want to visit before we head home. I don't want to ruin my day if I get sick.

By the way, on this particular day, there was a family of 8. The kids were quiet but, excited! The daddy was LOUD! As in LOUD! My goodness, it seemed he was screaming already. He keeps telling the kids to just relax because this ride is not scary according to the reminder posted on the wall. When we were seated and ready to take off, everyone around must be annoyed of his loud voice. Someone hushed him. He still talked loud and ignoring the hush. When the Flight Simulator started, he became silent. Even when it was time to scream, he was silent! When it was over and the door swung open, we were looking at his direction and he was like "pale-and-sickly" looking. Someone yelled, "the amazing ride GOT HIM good huh"? Everyone were laughing LOL. He was still quiet and went to a bathroom. Toink!

Studio Backlot Tour at Hollywood Studios

Okay, would you like to ride this?

And is not afraid to experience this?

Then, you are so ready for an exciting #Disney treat!
Visiting Disney is truly a fun way to spend a quality time with your family and loved-ones. It's not only for kids but, for kids-at-heart too. Strolling down the theme park, experience the thrilling and heart-stopping rides, sharing a hearty meal at Disney restaurants, shopping for souvenirs, watching a stage show, meeting Disney characters and playing games are just some of the fun activities which you and your family can enjoy inside Disney theme parks.

There's a lot to explore inside and believe me, one week is not enough! But, make the most of your time while you are here. Get a fast pass to save your time and make a plan the night before. List down the attractions that you want to visit. Focus in one area and move to the next to save your energy. On a rainy season, bring your own ponchos to save big bucks. It's quiet expensive and if you have a big family, it might hurt your wallet.

I took these photos at Studio Backlot Tour. This attraction lasts for 35 minutes. In this attraction, I get to experience the behind the scenes and see the special effects in movie making. This attraction is one of my favorites because I don't need to walk. It's tiring to walk around Disney you know LOL.

By the way, when you visit any Disney theme park, get the guide at the front that way, you can refer which attraction to go first and so on. Remember, plan your time wisely and save your energy.

Here are my favorite attractions in Hollywood Studios theme park:
1. The Great Movie Ride
2. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
3. Star Tours
4. Lights, Motors and Action
5. Studio Backlot Tour
6. Beauty and the Beast
7. Fantasmic
8. Voyage of the Little Mermaid

I know ... I know ... LOL, those are easy attraction to check out. I am not a thrill-seeker but, if you want the wild ride, I highly recommend these two awesome adrenalin rides!

1. Rock and Roller Coaster
2. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Now, when you enter the Hollywood Studios, go to Sunset Boulevard first , take one fast pass take note of your time then, watch another attraction. When you come out, it will be time to go to the next attraction and you will be happy you did. When you are done with the second attraction, get another fast pass and move to the next attraction in your list. The same strategy to manage your time inside the theme park.

You will probably see all the attractions in your list if its on a weekday but, if it is on a weekend or holiday, the queue is long and that can kill your time in the theme park. If that happens, don't be mad. Just enjoy and make sure the kids are happy.

On every trip to Disney, I noticed that kids are crying because they want to see Mickey and the parents wants to see the Lights, Motors and Action stunts first, LOL. Come on daddy! Children's happiness first okay? LOL.

That's all for now folks. Hollywood Studios is not as crowded as Magic Kingdom so; if you want an easy stroll and you have more time to spend in Disney, Hollywood Studios theme park is a great place to visit. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you had a great time reading my post. I am sleepy so bye for now. Mwahhh!

Quick Visit in Magic Kingdom at Disney World Florida

I was trying to find my new photos of #Disney but, I am in a hurry today so; the easiest set of photos that I can share right now are the ones taken in Magic Kingdom. I remember we went here at 3 PM because there are activities at night time that we wanted to see.
Halloween at Disney World
It is still hot in October in Florida so;
wearing caps, shorts, flipflops and sneakers are the best.
This is the Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom.
the castle...
heart stopping ride
Indian Village
A good place to see fireworks at night.
ice cream time
Taking a souvenir photo.
Pluto time
This month is the best time to visit Disney because it's not crowded and the wait for the attraction is not long. Disney visit is more relaxing before and after Valentine's Day event. If you hate crowd, visit on weekdays particularly Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Go there early and avoid the holidays. Just a tip. Have a great day y'all.

Monsters University Display in Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios is one of the 4 theme parks in Disney World. Now, don't be confused! Disney Land is in California while Disney World is located in Orlando, Florida. The icon in Hollywood Studios is The Sorcerer's Hat of Mickey Mouse. For now, I am sharing these photos taken at the entrance of the park.

Here is the famous character: the green eyeball with arms and legs, the friend of Sulley. Your little ones will know these characters by heart.

Here is Mike Wazowski holding a book. The other character in the picture is Sulley, on the right.

Here is Sulley up close. Such a great work of art right?

From time to time, they change their display in this area. Anyway, if you are a fan, check them inside the theme park. Visit Tomorrowland and see them in Monsters, Inc Laugh Floor. It's not my favorite attraction but, your kids would love it. Thank you for stopping by. Check out my other posts.

Search for Online Travel Deals

The economy is bad yet, some families were able to set aside a budget for a fun family vacation. Here in Florida, the slow season is not really the typical "slow" that we have in mind. In fact; when I visited Disney World on weekdays last week, thousands of tourists flocked the theme parks. The influx of tourists usually happens during summer vacation where children have few days off from school. On weekends, there are more fun activities intended for children and young at hearts too. Going to places have always been an exciting activity for the whole family so; it is always included in the list of priorities for the whole year. There are great deals online so; when you book early for your travels, you can truly find a good deal.

travelpackingtips.co

If you have airline points, you can use it for travel deals. That's what we do and believe me, it is awesomely affordable. For $500, my husband and I were able to have a Bahamas Cruising for 4 days. Great online deal right?

Future World Attraction at Epcot

When I was in the Philippines, I have no knowledge about EPCOT Theme Park in Disney World. In high school, my friends and I would dream about Magic Kingdom and see the castle of Cinderella. Oh, we love talking about Disney and loves watching it's animated movies! I have been to all the theme parks of Disney World namely: Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.Did you know that EPCOT is twice the size of Magic Kingdom? It occupies 300 acres of land for Future World and World Showcase. The picture above is in the Future World and the guests are in queue to enter the Spaceship Earth. This is one of my favorite rides in EPCOT. It is 16-minute slow-moving omnimover ride which transports the guest to 40,000 years back. From the dawn of recorded time to modern day. It is just amazing to see a prehistoric man, ancient Egypt, the Roman Empire, the printing of the newspaper, the discovery of electricity, generation of apple products showing the garage of Steve Jobs and more. The ride ends as the guests create their own future world.

Ferry Ride to Magic Kingdom

Visiting Disney World is always fun especially when your family is with you. Make sure that you have a camera and a tripod with you and extra battery too. If you want to visit one park in one day, that is a wise plan. But, if you still have the strength to move on to another park, why not right? Children loves Magic Kingdom so; be there early.

There are two ways to go to Magic Kingdom it's by monorail which is fast and ferry boat if you want a scenic ride. If you are not in a hurry, take the ferry boat and enjoy the view by the lake around Disney World property.

If you want to take pictures, the second floor of the ferry boat is the best seat there is. You can get a good scenic shot from there. It's not that far but, I can assure you that you will enjoy the ride. Make sure that you have your itinerary on which attraction to go first in Magic Kingdom.

Let the kids decide where they want to go first. Cinderella Castle is located at the heart of Magic Kingdom. This park is huge, about 107 acres with the following whimsical lands: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventure land, Frontier land, Liberty Square, Fantasy land and Tomorrow land.

If you love fast rides and adrenalin pumping attractions, check out Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Mad Tea Party and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. I love the Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Main Street Vehicles, Pirates of the Caribbean, Transit Authority People Mover, and Railroad.

To save your time, get the FAST PASS but, you can only use the fast pass once in a specific time. Say, you take a fast pass at 10AM for three attractions. It will only work to one attraction. You need to get another fast pass in another time. It's free and you don't need to wait. Have fun!

Mission Space at Epcot

The thrill of rides, I need to check it out first. I am not the kind of person who loves fast moving rides but, I can assure you, I survived the Test Track and loving it LOL. I also survived the Splash Mountain, those 3 dips and 5-story waterfall drop ... yikes , I tried it and I won't do it again, ... I think LOL. This one, the Mission Space at Epcot ... I don't know yet.

There are to journey here.  The first journey to Mars begins at Planetary Plaza where guests will see/read the inspirational quotes from pioneers of space travel. Then, off to the Simulation Lab, a 35-foot-tall gravity wheel is there.  A genuine NASA Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV), one of only 4 in existence is there too and on display. They borrowed it from from the Smithsonian.

There is a Command Room and further, the guests can browse astronaut memorabilia and plaques commemorating notable firsts in space exploration. This is all about the first man in space, the first man on the moon and the first family in space which, my knowledge for these are all buried in my hypothalamus, LOL.

Then, off to the Mission: SPACE Advanced Training Lab. I have to be brave myself and see what's in there and beyond.

Test Track Attraction at Walt Disney World's Epcot

One of the attractions that I love to ride over and over again is the Test Track at Disney World's Epcot. This attraction is located at Future World. Everyone should buckle up because it is really fast. The car can hold up to 6 passengers. This is a “simulation car” so; guests will just sit back and enjoy.

During the Test Drive there is a straight-aways sometimes, maneuvering through inclement weather. There is also a hug curves banked at 50-degree angles and scale hills that are up to 3-stories high. It is as if, guests will fall out from the car. I tell you, you should buckle up and hold tight. If you are afraid, close your eyes LOL.

New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom

Husband and I did some errands in Orlando today so; we decided to visit Disney World after all; it’s about 20 minutes away from where we were. As we drove down the express way, heavy traffic was unusual and it spans 6 miles ahead. I thought maybe, this week’s opening of the New Fantasyland could be the cause of the traffic. We detour and head home but, we will be back next week.

Enchanted Forest and Storybook Circus are attractions in Fantasyland located in Magic Kingdom. They are magical places with mermaids, beauties, flying elephants, beasts and wonders exist.

The New Fantasyland opened this week and this enchanting place marks as the largest expansion in the history of Magic Kingdom theme park. Guests will enjoy the interactive experience and will be able to meet more Disney characters and listen to enchanting stories. Do you like Disney film’s such as The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast? New Fantasyland is the right place to visit.

I would love to visit the attraction “Under the Sea~Journey” of the Little Mermaid. This is a musical attraction aboard a giant clamshell. Eric’s castle is here as well.

In the middle of the Beast’s castle is the “Be Our Guest Restaurant”. I would love to try their lunch menu for it costs only $14.99 and under … that’s affordable.
In “Enchanted Tales with Belle” is an attraction where retelling of the "tale as old as time" takes place and hosted by Belle and Lumière. Then, they have Ariel's Grotto where guests can take photos and get autographs.

Honestly? I am so excited to visit Disney World after I’ve known all these great attractions.
