On Our Roadtrip: Beautiful Mountain

When I did my home renovation back home, I hired a dozen of carpenters and masons. It was only a 90-day project so, they have to finish it with in the allotted time frame. They came from a mountainous region so; when they arrived in my town, all they have in mind was going to the beach. On their free day, they went swimming to the beach and they were so excited like a child when parents announced for a Disney Trip. Oh yes, they were!

Little did I know that when hubby and I traveled from Florida to Missouri, seeing the mountains and driving the gorges along the interstate was more exciting than I thought. I was thinking, wow - such a pleasant sight! Living in the coastal is beautiful but, seeing the mountains was spectacular specially when we don't travel this far and not in the direction towards the Midwest.

Beautiful isn't it? We made a stopover in Tennessee and what a gorgeous place. I love seeing the mountains. Maybe in the next year or two, I told hubby that we should visit Chattanooga.

I was wondering where these trucks are heading and they are too many. Traveling from Florida to Missouri was one of the best road trips that we have. Honestly, we booked a flight to Kansas but, we canceled it. We decided to have a road trip instead. The weather in October was beautiful and we were happy with the decision that we made.
I took the photo above at early morning, outside the hotel where we stayed for the night. I was wondering what's it like on a snowy days here.

It was a foggy morning and it's about 7AM and we were ready to hit the road after breakfast. What a gorgeous day it was! This is the front of the hotel and yes, the hotel was built on a hill. The view is so surreal and I could live here you know. A very peaceful and beautiful place.

Look Up : Blimp in the Sky

The weather is so nice and cool today. We were driving by the neighborhood and saw a blimp in the sky. I cant figure out what advertisement it has and blimps don't usually wander in our neighborhood. They usually fly over by the beach area. I was thinking they probably will land on the airport just next to our neighborhood.

It is pretty big because when the blimp was above us, it covered a big area around us. It was like a huge umbrella or a big bird shadow covered us below.

Since the trees are tall, I wasn't able to see if the blimp really went to the airport. I have no idea where it went if it's not the airport. It's about 5 minutes away from our place.

Well, as of this time, we arrived at home and the blimp already passed by and I was still taking the pictures.

Zooming in and hoping to see the name printed on the blimp but, no avail because I can't see it really.

That's all for now.  I have so many photos to share but, I can't keep up. Almost every two weeks I got sick. Oh boy! I hate it! When I am super quiet in my blogs, you should know that I am not feeling well. Thanks for stopping by.

The Dark Skies

Just showing you the contrast of the photos that I took. How amazing that a perfect day can turn up ugly in a matter of minutes. It is pretty scary for me if the weather is bad and I am caught driving on a busy highway. If it happens to you, would you stop on the side, put the blinkers on and wait for the storm to pass? I have seen so many drivers did that. Zero visibility on the road, of course ... you have no choice but, stop.

Such a Beautiful Sky

Beautiful formation of clouds right? There was no traces that less than an hour ago, we were battered with storm and with hails falling on our windshield as we were routing the 528 from Orlando towards Titusville. We were nervous driving the 528 because the rain was blinding us. We were relieved when we arrived Titusville and the rain had stopped.
We were just thankful that we arrived home safely. Thanking God for this awesome display of beautiful colors in the sky. Was there an incident when you were driving and caught in the middle of a stormy weather? Did you stop on the side of the road?

Weather Transition in an Hour

It was already dinner time. After traveling on a stormy weather from Orlando routing 528, hubby and I decided to drive towards Titusville. The rain had stopped! The sky is truly wonderful that time and as you can see in the photo below, the moon is showing up too.

Amazing how weather changes abruptly! There was no sign that few minutes ago, there was a hailstorm and the rain was blinding the commuters. Some drivers stopped on the side of the road. Check out the photo below, a happy bird is flying low in its easy glide.

There was a rainbow too. It was fading so fast but, I was able to take a shot.

Some areas in the Space Coast are still battling the storm at that time but in Titusville, storm had passed. Most people noticed the wonderful display of colors in the sky and I was not the only one who took pictures of the sky that time. In fact, I saw few friends posted photos on their Facebook wall.

I took the photo below before the storm. The dark clouds were heavy and lighting strikes every second. It was really scary especially for us that we were on the road.

The pouring rain is blinding us. I used the cellphone to see it clearer. There were hail falling on the windshield and it scared us the most. It seems that it was a long drive. Hubby was driving slow looking out the distance from the car ahead.

We really had no choice at that time but, keep on driving and watch out for other drivers. Some drivers have no regard for safety because they were driving so fast. Anyway, we arrived home safely. The sky is brighter and lovely. That's all that matters. Happy weekend everyone.

Sunrise in Port Saint John Florida

Such a beautiful and inspiring morning! I took these photos in Port Saint John along the boat ramp near Nicols Park. It's always gorgeous here especially at the break of dawn. The body of water is Indian River and yap, warning signs say "beware of gators". Never heard anyone attacked by gators though. Across the waters is the Merritt Island where NASA's Kennedy Space Center is located.

We live about 5 minutes away from here.

I would love to wake up every morning with this gorgeous view. Can you think of any place in your neighborhood that you can watch the sunrise? Wake up early tomorrow and watch the sunrise for a change. Have a good Monday y'all.

In Mourning: Sky Watching Lifts Me Up

Every waking moments of my life, I appreciate the air I breathe and the gift of life. Life is too short to be wasted. When hubby and I travel either long trip or just around the neighborhood, I make sure that I glorify God for all His goodness and blessings. I am not as religious as you are but, I know how to thank and praise God (wink). When I am not in my gaily mood, sky watching lifts me up and it's my way of conversing to God.

A while ago, I was browsing of the funeral photos of a neighbor friend back home. It is heartbreaking to see her husband and son mourning then, I started to recall. Ate Lita is our neighbor in fact, our house is next to hers and she is the first neighbor that is like a family to us. We were neighbors for 13 years and she and my mom bonded closely together. When I was at work whole day, she was there for my mom chit-chatting about dreams and life.

When I left to migrate half way around the globe, she remains a good friend to my mom. Ate Lita's company is precious and she was always there for my mom. I was back home in two years and she was there with warm smiles excited that I came home to be with my mom. We talk about the future that one of these days, we all could go to Bohol, in their farm and spend a vacation in the island. On my next visit, I said.

Our health is indeed our wealth. No matter how financially stable we are, if our health will deteriorate then, we are at the mercy of God's ultimate healing. I was thinking about my health because lately, I am sickly. Anyway, I talk to my mom every day and I was aware that Ate Lita was sick for few months now. I thought it was just an ordinary sickness you know; fever and colds. I thought she will be back in her home soon. She died at the age of 54 and all I can remember about her is that she is very healthy. I was surprised to learn that she was gone and I ask why? Why her Lord? She has so many plans. What about her dreams for her son? As I gazed up the sky, it seems that this statement has broken the silence: Who am I to complain about God's plan?

Wherever you are right now Ate Lita, you are now at peace in God's presence. I will truly miss you when I come home soon. To a good friend, rest in peace Ate.

Sky watching lifts me up when I am sad, lonely or heartbroken. The beauty of nature speaks profoundly about God's promise that amidst life's obstacles and pain, there will always be sunny and beautiful skies. Thank you for reading my post everyone. I hope you like the photos above. All of these were taken along the roads heading to Melbourne, Florida. Stay happy and live life to the fullest.

The Lady and the Beautiful Sky

I took this picture before the heavy downpour of rain yesterday. The dark clouds was scary to look at but, as it moves towards the blue sky in our area, I captured a calming photo below. The rain stops in few minutes giving my garden a breath of fresh air and my plants were happy with their soaking wet soil. We needed the rain because it was super hot here in Florida. We have 90's and because of the passing rain, it cools down.Take a look at the picture now. Have you seen the plane? Did you see the lady standing and wearing the V-neck styled dress? Well, hope you find them. Good luck!
