The Thrill of Riding the Jetski

Twice a week, hubby and I goes to the beach just to unwind especially in the afternoon. We just walk on the shoreline, watching people doing their sports activity and waving hi to friendly people passing by from where we are. There were people doing volleyball, some teenagers picking up seashells and others were surfing. Now, one of the interesting sports activities on the beach is the jetski riders showing their stunts.

 

Hubby wanted to buy one that is good for three people. The price starting at $4K ... This will be an awesome "toy" to have ...if and if ... he got the money for this hobby. I will be thrilled to ride this baby for sure.The thrill of riding the jetski is awesome! It's been awhile since I've been to one but, it was only 30 minutes rental. Here in Space Coast, never tried ever ... afraid of the gators in Indian River LOL or sharks in Cocoa. I will brave myself one of these days. I might survive on my first ride. For now, rental is the best option.

Mission Space at Epcot

The thrill of rides, I need to check it out first. I am not the kind of person who loves fast moving rides but, I can assure you, I survived the Test Track and loving it LOL. I also survived the Splash Mountain, those 3 dips and 5-story waterfall drop ... yikes , I tried it and I won't do it again, ... I think LOL. This one, the Mission Space at Epcot ... I don't know yet.

There are to journey here.  The first journey to Mars begins at Planetary Plaza where guests will see/read the inspirational quotes from pioneers of space travel. Then, off to the Simulation Lab, a 35-foot-tall gravity wheel is there.  A genuine NASA Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV), one of only 4 in existence is there too and on display. They borrowed it from from the Smithsonian. 

There is a Command Room and further, the guests can browse astronaut memorabilia and plaques commemorating notable firsts in space exploration. This is all about the first man in space, the first man on the moon and the first family in space which, my knowledge for these are all buried in my hypothalamus, LOL.

Then, off to the Mission: SPACE Advanced Training Lab. I have to be brave myself and see what's in there and beyond.

The Dark Skies

Just showing you the contrast of the photos that I took. How amazing that a perfect day can turn up ugly in a matter of minutes. It is pretty scary for me if the weather is bad and I am caught driving on a busy highway. If it happens to you, would you stop on the side, put the blinkers on and wait for the storm to pass? I have seen so many drivers did that. Zero visibility on the road, of course ... you have no choice but, stop.

My husband and I were heading back home from the beach, passing Banana River along Cape Canaveral. While we were routing the 528 road, I just can't help but focus my camera on the wide blue skies. It was a gorgeous day and I have seen people kayaking, boating, fishing in the waist deep water (not afraid of gators) and surfing. At the far right of the photo is the Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal. There were cruise ships waiting for their schedule to depart. We were thinking, it would have been nice if we have a jet ski. What a great day to enjoy the outdoors!

Last Glimpse of the Domestic Airplane from Our Rooftop

Three days after the rooftop was finished, I woke up early and sit there waiting for the plane to take off from the Domestic Airport of Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. I love watching the plane on the horizon as I was also waiting for the sunrise. I can see everything there especially the plane ready for landing at the airport. We live nearby the airport in fact; our village is right next to it. Now, the domestic airport is gone. It was moved to Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental. When I come back home, I will surely miss this scenery with the plane.

Laguindingan International Airport is the first international airport that serves the areas of Misamis Oriental and its nearby provinces in Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines. This is a flagship project of the Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Corridor Special Development Project, which covers the  cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro.

The airport is 4.17 square kilometre wide located in Barangay Moog, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental, about 46 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro and a bit father from us since we live uptown.
